A transmission mechanism of a spinning fishing reel includes a transmission shaft having a shaft body with an axial hole and a cut slit communicating with the axial hole, a gear disc having a tube portion, through which the shaft body is inserted such that the gear disc is drivenable by the transmission shaft to rotate, and a bolt having a head and a shank. The shank is screwingly threaded into the axial hole in a way that the head of the blot is abutted against an end of the tube portion of the gear disc, such that the outer periphery of the shaft body is expanded to firmly abut against the inner periphery of the tube portion. As such, the operational smoothness and stability of the product are enhanced by the transmission mechanism. Further, the transmission mechanism can be easily assembled with low manufacturing cost.

A fishing reel cap for mounting on a reel body of a fishing reel includes a bottomed cylindrical cap body and an annular reinforcing member. The bottomed cylindrical cap body has a cylindrical portion with threads capable of being screwed onto threads on the reel body and projections extending radially outward on an outside surface of the cylindrical portion. The annular reinforcing member has recesses, a portion of each projection of the projections being configured to fit into a respective recess of the recesses, and the annular reinforcing member being configured to fit on the outside surface of the cap body, exposing at least a portion of each of the projections in a radially outward direction.

A transmission mechanism of a spinning fishing reel includes a transmission shaft having a shaft body with an axial hole and a cut slit communicating with the axial hole, a gear disc having a tube portion, through which the shaft body is inserted such that the gear disc is drivenable by the transmission shaft to rotate, and a bolt having a head and a shank. An open face fishing reel utilizes a quick-release spool device having a modular reel component that facilitates the interchanging of fishing line while the reel is still secured within the fishing reel housing and crank mechanism. The device is configured to be removably replaced with a different spool having a new unit of fishing line secured thereabout.

A fishing reel cap for mounting on a reel body of a fishing reel includes a bottomed cylindrical cap body and an annular reinforcing member. The bottomed cylindrical cap body has a cylindrical portion with threads capable of being screwed onto threads on the reel body and projections extending radially outward on an outside surface of the cylindrical portion. The annular reinforcing member has recesses, a portion of each projection of the projections being configured to fit into a respective recess of the recesses, and the annular reinforcing member being configured to fit on the outside surface of the cap body, exposing at least a portion of each of the projections in a radially outward direction.

One object is to provide a fishing spinning reel in which the seal member is safe from the outside air and the external load and the interior of the reel unit remains satisfactorily waterproof and dustproof for a long period. Provided is a fishing spinning reel including: a body constituting a reel unit and a cover member closing a rear opening portion formed in a rear portion of the body. The body has a fitting portion formed on a peripheral edge portion of the rear opening portion, the fitting portion having a tubular wall shape extending toward an inner portion of the cover member and fitted in the inner portion of the cover member. A seal member having an annular shape is interposed between the inner portion of the cover member and the fitting portion.

Provided is a fishing reel having a downward-rotation locking type side cover in which the portion where a frame and a side cover are in contact with each other is curved; a protruding portion and a recessed portion that are smoothly connected to each other are formed respectively at a first edge of the frame and a second edge of a palm-side first side cover to prevent injuries in use due to the a pointed end of the frame; the internal angle of a first corner connecting the upper inclined surface and the outer side of the protruding portion is an obtuse angle; and the first side cover can be locked by rotating downward the front end of the first side cover after the first side cover is coupled to a mount with the protruding portion under the recessed portion.

One object is to provide a fishing spinning reel in which the seal member is safe from the outside air and the external load and the interior of the reel unit remains satisfactorily waterproof and dustproof for a long period. Provided is a fishing spinning reel including: a body constituting a reel unit and a cover member closing a rear opening portion formed in a rear portion of the body. The body has a fitting portion formed on a peripheral edge portion of the rear opening portion, the fitting portion having a tubular wall shape extending toward an inner portion of the cover member and fitted in the inner portion of the cover member. A seal member having an annular shape is interposed between the inner portion of the cover member and the fitting portion.

Provided is a fishing reel having a downward-rotation locking type side cover in which the portion where a frame and a side cover are in contact with each other is curved; a protruding portion and a recessed portion that are smoothly connected to each other are formed respectively at a first edge of the frame and a second edge of a palm-side first side cover to prevent injuries in use due to the a pointed end of the frame; the internal angle of a first corner connecting the upper inclined surface and the outer side of the protruding portion is an obtuse angle; and the first side cover can be locked by rotating downward the front end of the first side cover after the first side cover is coupled to a mount with the protruding portion under the recessed portion.
