SPINNING REEL

A spinning reel includes a reel body, a rotor, a bail arm, a rod, a coil spring, a swing member, and a tubular member. The rotor rotates with respect to the reel body. The bail arm is configured to swing with respect to the rotor. The bail arm has a bail and a bail support member that supports one end of the bail. The rod is connected to the bail support member. The coil spring is disposed around the outer circumference of the rod and presses the rod toward the bail support member. The swing member has a bottom that supports the coil spring and is swingably supported by the rotor. The tubular member is supported by the swing member. The tubular member is disposed in the inner circumference of the coil spring. The rod is configured to slide in accordance with a swing movement of the bail arm.

A movable hood for a reel seat has a hood portion and a nut portion. A body of a reel seat passes through the hood portion. The hood portion is movable in a longitudinal direction of the body. The nut portion is connected to the hood portion to rotate around the body and is threadedly coupled to an outer peripheral surface of the body at an inner peripheral surface. The hood portion has a base end facing the nut portion and a leading end located opposite the base end. When viewing the hood portion from side, a length of an upper side of the hood portion from the base end to the leading end is longer than a length of a lower side of the hood portion from the base end to the leading end, and an upper contour of the hood portion has an upward convex curve line.

A spinning reel includes a reel body, a handle, a spool shaft, a spool, a rotor, a reciprocating mechanism, and a clutch mechanism. The handle is rotatably disposed on the reel body. The spool shaft is supported by the reel body. The spool moves in an axial direction of the spool shaft together with the spool shaft. The rotor rotates about the spool by rotation of the handle and winds a fishing line around the spool. The reciprocating mechanism moves the spool shaft back and forth in the axial direction when the rotation of the handle is transmitted thereto. The clutch mechanism switches between a transmitting state to transmit the rotation of the handle to the reciprocating mechanism and a non-transmitting state to terminate the transmission. The reciprocating mechanism enables the spool shaft to move in the axial direction when the clutch mechanism is in the non-transmitting state.
