SINGLE-BEARING REEL
A single-bearing reel includes a reel unit, a spool shaft, a support unit, a spool, a first restriction member, a second restriction member, a pair of first seal members, a second seal member, and a third seal member. The pair of first seal members is disposed on an outer peripheral surface of the support unit. One of the pair of first seal members seals between the support unit and the first restriction member. The other of the pair of first seal members seals between the support unit and the second restriction member. The second seal member seals an inner peripheral part of the support unit from an inner peripheral part of the first restriction member. A third seal member seals the inner peripheral part of the support unit from an inner peripheral part of the second restriction member.
Fishing reel handle drag system
The invention is a fishing reel handle drag system and a fishing reel having a handle drag system which comprises a reel housing, a shaft extending through the housing, a reel spool is mounted on the spindle and has at least one spool face, the spool is rotatable in first and second opposite directions, a crank or handle member is provided for rotating the spool in a first direction, an anti-reversing device is provided to prevent the crank from rotating with the spool when moving in the second direction, the crank is secured to one end of the shaft adjacent the spool face, the crank is adapted to lever axially toward and away from the spool face, a wave washer is provided on the shaft between the crank member and the spool face whereby when the spool is rotated in the second direction and the crank member is levered toward the spool face the wave washer is caused to be compressed against the spool face to thereby generate drag against the rotating spool.

FLY FISHING REEL WITH BRAKE ASSEMBLY AND METHODS
A fishing reel and related method include a housing, a spool, and a brake assembly. The housing includes an external circumferential surface and an internal circumferential surface. The spool is configured to have a length of fishing line wound thereon, and is rotatable relative to the housing about a rotation shaft. The brake assembly is mounted to and rotatable with the spool. The brake assembly includes a plurality of pivotally mounted pawls. The plurality of pawls each include a contact surface arranged facing the internal circumferential surface. Rotation of the fishing reel upon the fishing line being pulled out of the fishing reel when a fish pulls on the fishing line causes a centrifugal force that moves the contact surface of the plurality of pawls into contact with the internal circumferential surface to reduce a rotational speed of the spool relative to the housing.
Spinning type fishing reel with bi-directionally rotating rotor and drag control to prevent line twist
A fishing spinning reel that eliminates problems associated with line twist by providing a rotor adapted for both forward and reverse rotation wherein a drag assembly applies drag to the rotor using an adjustable cam mechanism to prevent the rotor from imparting twist on the line when in the winding mode. By enabling the rotor to rotate in a reverse direction with the application of drag the present invention prevents line twist when fighting a fish by allowing the rotor to rotate in a reverse direction to let out line and/or to remain stationary as the handle is cranked thereby preventing the rotor from imparting twist on the line.
Bait cast reel having locking part for hinge-type palmside cover
Present disclosed is a bait cast reel having a locking part for a hinge-type palm side cover, the palm side cover being hinged to a first side opening of a frame of a reel body to rotatably support one end of a spool shaft. The bait cast reel includes: a reel body in which a spool is rotatably provided; a palmside cover fixed to an outside end of a pillar insert; a spool cover mounted to the palmside cover; a centrifugal brake controls a rotation speed of the spool; a pillar click gear to which the pillar insert is coupled in a moveable manner; a pillar click claw stopping rotation of the pillar click gear; and a stopper supporting the pillar click gear for rotation thereof.

Fishing reel with incremental metering system and modular balancing weights
A fly-fishing reel having with a modular weight system for customizing the weight of the fly-fishing reel in order for an angler to use the fly-fishing reel with a variety of fly rods and still maintain a desired balance point and an integrated incremental meter device. The modular weight system allows the balance point of the rod and fly-fishing reel to be adjusted. The incremental metering device is adapted for keeping a tally of selected data, such as, though not limited to, the number of fish caught or released.
