11700846 · 2023-07-18 ·

Insecticide dispensing devices and methods of the present technology provide for the prolonged release of insecticide for the eradication of insect populations. Insecticide dispensing devices include an attractive toxic sugar bait, and have a housing configured with at least one aperture to allow a gaseous compound to exit the internal cavity and sized to allow entry of a target insect into the internal cavity. Methods of insecticide dispensing include activating the attractive toxic sugar bait in the device, and placing the activated device in an area where insects are present.

RIGID FUMIGANT BARRIER FOR SHIPPING CONTAINER DOOR

A lightweight barrier insert door is attached to an enclosure, such as a shipping container that holds a product to be fumigated, such as during transport of the product to a new location. The barrier insert door fits within the doorway of the container to provide a sealed barrier to mitigate leakage of a fumigant from the interior of the container. The barrier also includes air intake ports to maintain the structural integrity of the container and to provide ambient air to the interior. Additional ports allow for connection for fumigant entry, monitoring, and/or an exhaust hose to be connected to or through the barrier for the fumigation process. The barrier can be height adjustable to account for shipping containers of various sizes and can be connected with fumigant exhaust and release systems for the safe release thereof.

METHOD FOR PREVENTING THE DIFFUSION OF SOIL FUMIGANT
20220331849 · 2022-10-20 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a barrier paper comprising a paper coated with polyvinyl alcohol composition, and a method for reducing diffusion of soil fumigant using the same.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TREATING ARTWORKS AND/OR PORTABLE HERITAGE
20230172183 · 2023-06-08 ·

Disclosed is, on the one hand, a method for killing insects and/or mold of portable heritage and/or artworks, wherein the objects to be treated are temporarily treated in a sealed housing. On the other hand, disclosed is a device for carrying out an insect and/or mould (fungus) killing treatment on portable heritage and/or artworks, including a housing for temporarily placing the heritage and/or artwork of The method and device according to this disclosure were developed in particular to protect artworks and/or portable heritage against damage (by deterioration) and thus to preserve them for a longer period.

Disclosed is a method for decontaminating and/or extracting toxic substances of portable heritage and/or artworks, where the objects to be treated are temporarily treated in a sealed housing.

SELF-ADHESIVE FILM FOR SOIL FUMIGATION
20170332617 · 2017-11-23 ·

The present invention relates to the use of a fumigant barrier film for treating soil by fumigation, said film having, on at least one portion of the outer surface thereof or on at least one portion of the inner surface thereof or on at least one portion of the outer and inner surfaces thereof, at least one continuous self-adhesive or self-sticking or tackifying area. The present invention also relates to the method for sealing soil intended for fumigation treatment or in the process of fumigation treatment or which has been treated by fumigation, by covering said soil with a self-adhesive fumigant barrier film, as well as to a kit for fumigation treatment including at least one self-adhesive fumigant barrier film and at least one fumigant.

Method and system for preventing and treating pests using smoke from biomass power plant

A method for pest control in a confined space using flue gas from a biomass power plant. The method includes: treating flue gas from a biomass power plant to yield treated flue gas having a volume concentration of carbon dioxide exceeding 85 volume %, and conducting pest control in a confined space according to the following steps: continuously aerating the confined space with the treated flue gas during a fallow period to allow a gas pressure in the confined space to reach between 0.110 and 0.140 megapascal of absolute pressure and the volume concentration of carbon dioxide in the confined space to reach between 50 and 90 volume %.

Agricultural fumigation using a multilayer film including a PVDC vapor barrier

Methods for fumigating soil include applying over fumigant-treated soil a multilayer polymeric film to form a vapor barrier between the fumigant-treated soil and the atmosphere to at least partially contain the fumigant. The multilayer film includes at least one barrier layer comprising at least one vinylidene chloride polymer and protecting layers on each side of the barrier layer. The multilayer film preferably has at least one UV protecting layer and optionally at least one reflective layer.

Grain pest control apparatus and method

A grain pest control apparatus includes an input unit adapted to accept input of grain; a heating unit adapted to heat the grain supplied from the input unit; and a removal unit adapted to remove heat from the grain heated by the heating unit, wherein the removal unit includes a cylindrical body provided with an air passage hole in a wall surface and adapted to receive the heated grain and a heat collecting chamber installed by surrounding the cylindrical body and connected to an exhaust channel, and removes heat from the heated grain by causing air supplied into the cylindrical body to pass through the air passage hole and escape via the heat collecting chamber.

MOBILE VENTILATION STACK ASSEMBLY

The disclosure relates to devices and methods for ventilating enclosed area such as shipping containers or structures erected to temporarily contain cargo items. A central element in such devices and methods is a ventilation stack assembly in which a vertically-oriented stack having an outlet is connected at its other end to a pipe leading to an inlet. A first housing having the dimensions (and preferably the fittings) of a standard shipping container is rigidly connected to the stack and pipes, and the assembly can be physically manipulated as if it were a standard shipping container. Gas (e.g., fumigant) provided to the pipe inlet passes through the pipe and into and through the stack, exiting at the outlet, which can be situated at an altitude whereat gas discharged therefrom is dispersed into the atmosphere at a location and concentration at which displeasure or hazard to humans can be reduced.
