RODENT TRAP

A rodent trap and a system or network of such traps. The trap is a spring-loaded strike rat trap including at least one spring, a housing, at least one striker bar, at least one arming bar, at least one trigger plate and at least one trigger. The spring is configured for biasing the bars moving them from one position, where the arming bar and trigger plate is releasably held by the trigger and in contact with a ready indicator to indicate that the spring-loaded strike trap is armed, into at least one other position where the movement of each bar is stopped, after the spring-loaded strike trap has been triggered releasing the bars.

A pest enticement enclosure (10) reduces stress responses of target pest animals (122) in vicinity to a pest control system (80). The enclosure (10) preserves attractants, bait (162), poison, or contraceptives employed in the pest control system (80) and employs a ventilation system (140) to spread scents of lures (160) well above a ground surface (44).

Snap trap with set-prevent interference member and rodent orienting side walls

A chip-clip type snap trap for rodents is provided that includes a bait cup covered by a bait cap that prevents setting of the trap when the bait cap is in place, high side walls to properly orient a rodent before trap activation, and grip elements on the lid and base to prevent finger slippage when setting the trap. The lid and base of the trap snap together without the need for pins, fasteners or tools, providing for easy and cost-effective manufacture.

RODENT TRAPS

A rodent trap comprising a trigger arranged to be triggered by a rodent, a kill mechanism arranged to kill a rodent in response to the trigger being triggered by the rodent, a trapdoor positioned adjacent to the kill mechanism, having a closed position and an open position, and a storage area positioned on the other side of the trapdoor to the kill mechanism. The rodent trap is arranged such that when a rodent is killed by the kill mechanism, the rodent corpse passes through the trapdoor into the storage area.

Rodent snap trap interfaced with electronics monitoring system and method of interfacing a snap trap with electronics monitoring system

A snap type rodent trap with remote notification capability is provided. The trap includes a non-conductive base, conductive bail and trigger components, and an electronic PCB assembly mounted on the trap base. According to a first embodiment, the base is wood and the PCB assembly is selectively coated or printed with a layer of a flexible conductive material that contacts bail and trigger wire components mounted on the upper surface of the trap base as well as a conductive strip positioned to be contacted by the bail when the trap is tripped and empty. According to a second embodiment, the base is molded plastic. The PCB assembly in both embodiments is configured to detect and provide remote notification of trap states using the bail as an antenna. A method of retrofitting a snap type trap with an electronics monitoring system is also provided.

RODENT TRAP

A rodent trap including a housing, an inner channel, a spring-loaded killing mechanism including at least one spring and at least one striker plate, a reloader, a trigger mechanism, and a bait. The housing includes an opening into the inner channel and one or more sensors arranged at/in the inner channel and/or the opening for triggering the trigger mechanism if a rodent is detected. The striker plate is configured to move between two positions by means of the spring, a first position in which at least a part of the striker plate is arranged at a first side of the inner channel and/or opening leaving the inner channel and/or opening open for passage.
