Animal Sensing System
20230217903 · 2023-07-13 · ·

Animal sensing systems and methods are described. An animal sensing system can include an input section with an entrance and an output section having at least two output paths each having its own exit. An animal can enter the animal sensing system through the entrance. A sensor within a sensing area of the input section can detect one or more characteristics of the animal, and can communicate the detected characteristic(s) to a central processing unit. The central processing unit can use the received data to classify the animal based on the detected characteristic(s), and then control a directional guide, such as a gate, in the animal sensing system on the basis of the classification, so as to direct the animal within the animal sensing system, such as to allow access to only one of the output paths at a time. The animal may thus be allowed to exit the animal sensing system through only one output path, directing the animal to a desired location based on the classification.

AUGMENTED RODENT TRAP DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE

A removeable, adhesive pad sticker used to augment any existing rodent trap by affixation to the top face of the rodent trap. It has an adhesive pad facing up in the region of the bait station. When the rodent steps on it and stops to take the bait, they are no longer capable of quickly moving when they activate the trap's trigger and the kill bar of the rodent trap is released. Even if the rodent does not reach the bait station, their jiggling efforts to extricate their feet and/or lower body from the adhesive wrapper will activate the trigger. This addition to a snap trap raises the kill ratio to approximately 100% but more importantly, allows the kill bar to strike the rodent behind the neck eliminating any unsightly mess.

Animal trap detection system using a glue board

An animal trap system includes a glue board, an animal trap accelerometer sensor, and a signal unit in close proximity to and in communications with the animal trap accelerometer sensor, wherein the signal unit also contains an accelerometer sensor. The animal trap system is capable of detecting capture events, non-capture events, false positives, and/or the type of animal captured by using differential signal analysis and machine learning techniques. When an acceleration is received by the animal trap accelerometer sensor above a pre-set acceleration threshold value, it sends a capture signal to the signal unit and if the signal unit does not receive such acceleration event, the signal unit transmits a capture signal to an off-site receiver. A method of trapping one or more animals using this system is also provided.
