Treating water stress in plants
The present invention relates to methods and uses of photo-labile compounds which are trehalose-6-phosphate or trehalose-6-phosphonate or agriculturally acceptable salts thereof in the treatment of water stress in plants. The invention also concerns methods and the use of the compounds for resurrection of water stressed plants, and for improvement of yield of crop plants under water stressed conditions compared with untreated plants.

Materials amd methods for buffering active chlorine solutions
The invention provides buffers stable to oxidants, including chlorine and hypochlorous acid, which are usable in the pH range 3-7. The invention also provides stable, buffered solutions comprising hypochlorous acid, having a pH between 3 and 7, and disposable wiping articles impregnated with these solutions.

HERBICIDAL COMPOUNDS
The present invention relates to herbicidally active cinnolinium derivatives and formulations comprising such derivatives. The invention further extends to herbicidal mixtures comprising a cinnolinium derivative as described herein and at least one additional herbicidal active ingredient. The use of the afore-mentioned cinnolinium derivatives, formulations and/or herbicidal mixtures in controlling undesirable plant growth: in particular the use for the post-emergence control of weeds, also falls within the scope of the present invention.
