ENHANCED FORMULATIONS, COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR PEST CONTROL
Formulations of pesticides are disclosed, specifically pesticidal blends of essential oils and other ingredients, that have been found to enhance the activity of the active pesticidal ingredients. The formulations may be, for example, emulsions or dust formulations. For example, a composition for controlling a target pest is disclosed that comprises at least one active agent and a formulation agent, wherein: the active agent is capable of interacting with a receptor in the target pest; the active agent has a first activity against the target pest when applied without the formulation agent and the composition has a second activity against the target pest; and the second activity is greater than the first activity.

DISINFECTION OF BACTERIOPHAGES PRODUCTS USING SUPERCRITICAL CARBON DIOXIDE.
There is proposed a method for the sterilization of products containing bacteriophages in a manner that will allow the bacteriophages to retain their activity and infectivity. Products containing bacteriophages are exposed to supercritical CO.sub.2 under conditions causing little or no damage to structural integrity of the bacteriophages or to the structural properties of biodegradable scaffolds containing the bacteriophages.

Method and system for preventing and treating pests using smoke from biomass power plant
A method for pest control in a confined space using flue gas from a biomass power plant. The method includes: treating flue gas from a biomass power plant to yield treated flue gas having a volume concentration of carbon dioxide exceeding 85 volume %, and conducting pest control in a confined space according to the following steps: continuously aerating the confined space with the treated flue gas during a fallow period to allow a gas pressure in the confined space to reach between 0.110 and 0.140 megapascal of absolute pressure and the volume concentration of carbon dioxide in the confined space to reach between 50 and 90 volume %.
