Seafood sheller
A seafood sheller for cracking or cutting open shells of, for example, crustaceans is described herein. The seafood sheller having a handle member, an upper beak member and a lower bladed member. The upper beak member extending longitudinally forward from the handle member and having a distal end opposite from the handle member and an upper beak member bottom that extends longitudinally from the handle member. The lower blade member having a blade edge and a blade base, the blade edge extending longitudinally forward beneath the upper beak member bottom from the blade base. The blade base being connected to the upper beak member at a rearward portion of the upper beak member bottom. The lower blade member further having a distal end opposite from the blade base, the distal end of the upper beak member longitudinally extending forwardly beyond the distal end of the lower blade member.

Shrimp peeler and deveiner
Method and apparatus for a handheld tool having a handle on one end along with a blunt ended probe-like arcuate shaped portion on the opposite end which probe is inserted into the shrimp for simultaneously peeling and deveining the shrimp. The handle is designed for being grasped in the hand of a user. The probe has a base-like ricasso portion which acts as a stop for the body of the shrimp so that when the body of the shrimp is pushed against the ricasso the meat is removed from the shrimp by separating the meat from the shell of the shrimp. In operation, the device or tool is inserted along the back of the shrimp at the dorsal portion of the shell and the shrimp is pushed forward and pinched at the same time so that the shrimp is peeled and deveined simultaneously.
Crab shell cutter
A crab shell cutter is provided which has first and second handles and first and second jaws which pivot relative to one another. The jaws include a tapered jaw line which comprises having a tapered surface from which a plurality of serrations extend. The serrations are pyramidal in shape. When engaging a crab shell, the plurality of serrations form linear perforations in the shell but inhibit damage of the underlying crab meat.

A substantially flat tool for the function of deshelling or cracking an object, combined with a bottle opener and function of a picker or knife, featuring a thin striking surface which favors cracking over smashing.
Device for cracking a shell of a food item
A device is for cracking a shell of a food item. The device has a first plier, a second plier and a pivot rotatably connecting the first plier with the second plier for enabling the food item, when arranged between the pliers, to be compressed between the pliers by a rotation of the pliers towards each other. The device further comprises a lockable spacing arrangement having an acceleration dependent locking device adapted to permit the rotation of the two pliers towards each other if an acceleration of the rotation is below a threshold value and adapted to lock the rotation of the two pliers towards each other if the acceleration of the rotation is equal to or exceeding said threshold value.
