Systems and methods for the preparation of tablets of botanical extracts including tea
The present invention includes a method for creating a portable and quickly dissolving tea or other tea-like botanical tablet that can be used to prepare a flavorful, visually appealing, and clear cup of tea. The novel process may include the steps of: (1) extraction/infusion, (2) clarification, (3) concentrate preparation, (4) degassing the concentrate, and (5) chunkification. A spinning cone column may be used during the extraction/infusion step to preserve the aromatics and nutrients from the tea leaves, leading to better taste and improved retention of compounds thought to be beneficial to human health. A centrifuge may be used to remove suspended solids during the clarification step and a pressure chamber or sonication device may be used during the degassing step. Chunkification may involve the freezing of the concentrate followed by the removal of water from the concentrate to create a solid tablet of easily portable shape and size. The tea tablet quickly dissolves when added to hot or warm water, and it dissolves in cold water with some additional agitation.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING BEVERAGE INGREDIENTS
The invention provides a method of treating a beverage ingredient extract comprising the steps of: a. filtering a beverage ingredient extract to obtain a beverage ingredient extract retentate and a beverage ingredient extract permeate; b. raising the pH of said beverage ingredient extract retentate to provide a treated beverage ingredient extract retentate; and c. combining said treated beverage ingredient extract retentate with said beverage ingredient extract permeate to generate a recombined ingredient extract.
A PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING CINNAMON TEA POD FROM CINNAMOMUM ZEYLANICUM
The present invention discloses a process for manufacturing cinnamon tea pod. The process involves pre-treating Ceylon zeylanicum leaves by blanching the leaves for a predefined time set to enable a cessation of enzymatic activity in the cinnamon leaves. The process further involves dehydrating the Cinnamon (Ceylon zeylanicum) leaves at a preset dehydrating conditions to prepare cinnamon leaves particles. The process is followed by preparing cinnamon bark extract powder under predefined conditions. The process is continued by mixing the Ceylon zeylanicum particles and the cinnamon bark extract powder in a ratio of 98 wt. % to 2 wt. % respectively. At last, the process involves preparing tea pods including the mixed cinnamon leaves particles with the said cinnamon bark extract.
