Biodegradable and Dissolvable Consumable Pod and a Method of Preparing an Instant Consumable
20230232855 · 2023-07-27 ·

The present invention relates to a water-soluble consumable or beverage pod and a method of making a consumable or beverage instantly using the pod. The beverage pod does not leave any trash and a cover covering the pod is also biodegradable. The consumable pod includes a sealed water-soluble body containing a consumable powder which can be a coffee powder, a tea powder, a baby formula powder, and a soup powder. The pod is dropped into water, enabling the body to dissolve, and mixing of consumable powder in the water for instantly preparing the consumable. In some embodiments, sugar is included in the consumable powder or in the sealed water-soluble body, and a liquid beverage concentrate can be used in place of the beverage powder. The pods and their storage bag/packaging are biodegradable to remain environmentally conscious when thrown away.

BEVERAGE COMPOSITION
20230093395 · 2023-03-23 · ·

A solid beverage composition has disintegration properties such that the composition is readily soluble or dispersible in hot water or hot milk to produce a beverage. This is achieved by compressing a powdered extract of an edible material and controlling the compression force, in conjunction with the use of an edible oil as the sole binder. In addition, the particle sizes of the powdered extract can be controlled to optimize the flow properties of the powder in order to aid the compression process.

SOLUBLE COFFEE POWDER

The present invention relates to a soluble beverage powder comprising dried coffee extract particles having two essentially flat surfaces and a uniform thickness. A further aspect of the invention is a process for making a freeze-dried soluble beverage powder.

A solid food has a solid form obtained by compression molding a powder. Where a dissolution process from the solid food starting to dissolve until completely dissolving is measured over time on the basis of electric conductivity, times at which a dissolution ratio where electric conductivity at the time of finish of dissolution is 100%, reaches 20%, 63%, and 95% are t.sub.20, t.sub.63, and t.sub.95, and times (sec) at which the dissolution ratio of a reference solid food, formed under conditions in which a difference in weight with the solid food is within ±0.3%, a difference in surface area is within ±2%, a difference in hardness is within ±4%, and a humidification treatment temperature is 100° C. or lower, reaches 20%, 63%, and 95% are t.sub.20ref, t.sub.63ref, and t.sub.95ref, a solubility index (I.sub.d) represented by the following Formula (1) is less than 1.

I.sub.d=(t.sub.20/t.sub.20ref+t.sub.63/t.sub.63ref+t.sub.95/t.sub.95ref)/3  (1)

SYSTEM, METHOD, AND FORMULATION FOR AN ALL-IN-ONE COFFEE OR TEA SERVING
20230157325 · 2023-05-25 · ·

An all-in-one beverage serving and a method of manufacturing the all-in-one beverage serving is described. The method includes: forming a mixture of a predetermined amount of panela, a predetermined amount of an active ingredient, optionally a predetermined amount of a functional component, and optionally a predetermined amount of a flavoring component. The method then includes placing the mixture into a mold and compressing the mixture to form a solid tablet (e.g., the all-in-one beverage serving). The solid tablet may then be placed into water or milk (or a similar beverage) to form an instant beverage for a user to enjoy.

CAPSULE CONTAINING BEVERAGE POWDER, IN PARTICULAR FOR PREPARING BREWED COFFEE
