CIGARETTE FILLING PACKED BODY AND ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE CARTRIDGE
A cigarette filling packed body and an electronic cigarette cartridge provide a filled packing while ensuring excellent airflow within the cigarette filling packed body. Elongated cigarette fillings are packed into a bundle shape with an outer peripheral portion wrapped around by a sheet-shaped packaging body. Each filling is formed such that, in a cross section orthogonal to the long-side direction, the dimension in the long-side direction is longer than the dimension in the short-side direction. Each of the cigarette fillings in an outermost peripheral portion are in contact with the packaging body and have a long-side direction oriented following the circumferential direction. The cigarette fillings are oriented particularly to enhance air flow.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FORMING CANNABIS PRE-ROLLS
Described herein are systems and method for forming cannabis pre-rolls. The method includes the steps of (a) providing a feed of cannabis plant material; (b) trimming the feed of cannabis plant material to form a feed of rollable cannabis plant material having successive first zones and second zones, wherein a cross-sectional area of the first zones in a plane transverse to a feed flow direction through a trimmer is greater than a cross-sectional area of the second zones in a plane transverse to the feed flow direction through the trimmer; and (c) compressing the feed of rollable cannabis plant material to form a feed of compressed rollable cannabis plant material.

The present disclosure also relates to methods of manufacturing a rod of aerosol generating material, and to methods of manufacturing an article for an aerosol provision system. The present disclosure also relates to an article for use in an aerosol provision system.
Method and device for identifying capsule defects in a filter of the tobacco processing industry
A method for identifying capsule defects in a tobacco filter includes measuring values for density and/or moisture content of the filter using a microwave measurement device. The measured values are compared with a threshold value and a presence of a capsule defect in the filter is determined if the measured valued undershoots the threshold value. A value for a degree of fluctuation of the measured values is determined at a region in front of a measurement location and/or behind the measurement location in which at least one measured value is below the threshold value. The value for the degree of fluctuation is compared with a predetermined capsule threshold value. The capsule defect comprises a broken capsule when the value for the degree of fluctuation exceeds the capsule threshold value, and the capsule defect comprises a missing capsule when the value for the degree of fluctuation undershoots the capsule threshold value.
