AEROSOL PRODUCING ARTICLE AND AEROSOL GENERATING SYSTEM
The present application provides an aerosol producing article and an aerosol generating system comprising the aerosol producing article. The aerosol producing article comprises: an aerosol-forming matrix and an external wrapping part; the external wrapping part comprises a first portion, and at least a part of the extension length of the first portion along the axial direction of the aerosol producing article coincides with the extension length of the aerosol-forming matrix; the outer surface of the first portion is provided with a plurality of holes penetrating through the external wrapping part. The above aerosol producing article has optimized infrared transmittance, and can promote the utilization efficiency of infrared rays when infrared heating is used.
Article for use in an aerosol provision system
An article for use as or as part of a non-combustible aerosol provision system includes an aerosol generating material having at least one aerosol forming material, a first hollow tubular body disposed downstream of the aerosol generating material, the first hollow tubular body having a wall thickness greater than about 0.5 mm, a second hollow tubular body with a wall thickness greater than about 0.5 mm and a cylindrical body disposed between the first hollow tubular body and the second hollow tubular body. Also described is an article including a hollow tubular member formed from cellulosic material and disposed immediately downstream of the aerosol generating material, where the length of the hollow tubular member is between about 5 mm and about 18 mm. A system and a method of manufacturing an article are also described.
AEROSOL-GENERATING DEVICE HAVING A VENTILATION CHAMBER
An aerosol-generating device to receive an aerosol-generating article is provided, the device including: distal and mouth ends; a housing including a peripheral wall defining a device cavity to removably receive the article at the mouth end; and a heater to heat the article when the article is received within the device cavity, the housing including a ventilation chamber defined within the peripheral wall, the chamber configured to be in fluid communication with an exterior of the device and the article received within the device cavity, and with the exterior of the device through a chamber inlet defined within a thickness of the peripheral wall, the chamber inlet having a cross-sectional area smaller than a cross-sectional area of the chamber and extending between the chamber and the mouth end, and in which a length of the chamber is less than or equal to 8 mm.
COMPONENT FOR AN ARTICLE FOR USE IN A NON-COMBUSTIBLE AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM
A component (2) for an article (1) for use in a non-combustible aerosol provision system includes a mouth end section (4), a first tubular section (6a) defining a first cavity (7a) upstream of the mouth end section, a second tubular section (6b) defining a second cavity (7b) upstream of the first tubular section and a body (5) disposed between the first tubular section and the second tubular section. AEROSOL GENERATING ARTICLE WITH DIRECTING ELEMENT
An aerosol-generating article is provided, including: a heat source; an aerosol-forming substrate downstream of the heat source; an airflow-directing element downstream of the substrate, the airflow-directing element including an air-permeable segment defining a cavity; at least one air inlet to allow air to be drawn into the article; and first and second airflow pathways, in which the first airflow pathway extends from the air inlet, through the substrate, and into a distal end of the cavity, in which the second airflow pathway extends from the air inlet, through the air-permeable segment, and into the cavity at a point downstream of the distal end of the cavity, in which the air inlet is located downstream of the distal end of the airflow-directing element, and in which a longitudinal cross-sectional area of the cavity is at least 30 percent of a total longitudinal cross-sectional area of the article.
Article for use in an aerosol provision system
An article for use in a non-combustible aerosol provision system includes a first aerosol generating material and a component downstream of the first aerosol generating material, wherein the component comprises a tubular portion and wherein the tubular portion comprises a wall comprising a second aerosol generating material. An article is also described including a first aerosol generating material, and a component downstream of the first aerosol generating material, wherein the component comprises a body of material and wherein the body of material comprises a second aerosol generating material. Methods for forming an article and a system are also described.
Article for use in an aerosol provision system
An article for insertion into an apparatus for heating an aerosol generating material to aerosolize at least one component of the aerosol generating material includes an aerosol generating material and a downstream portion downstream of the aerosol generating material. The downstream portion has at least one ventilation area and a first air flow path is defined in which air drawn through the article at its downstream end passes through the aerosol generating material, and a second air flow path is defined in which air drawn through the article at its downstream end is drawn into the article through the at least one ventilation area in the downstream portion. The resistance to draw of the second air flow path is greater than the resistance to draw of the first air flow path. An article is also provided in which an aerosol generating material is wrapped by a wrapper having a level of permeability greater than about 2000 Coresta Units. An article is also described having a ventilation level of between 40% and 60% ventilation. A system and a method for forming an article are also described.
ARTICLE FOR USE IN A NON-COMBUSTIBLE AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM
An article for use in a non-combustible aerosol provision system includes an aerosol-generating section with a plurality of strands and/or strips of aerosol-generating material. The aerosol-generating section is circumscribed by a moisture impermeable wrapper and a cooling section is provided directly adjacent to the aerosol-generating section. The cooling section can have at least one of a hollow channel having an internal diameter of between about 1 mm and about 4 mm or a maximum of 32% of the cross-sectional area of the cooling section being a hollow channel. A non-combustible aerosol provision system is also described.

An aerosol generating article includes: a first portion comprising an aerosol generating material; a second portion comprising a tobacco material including a moisturizing agent; a third portion configured to cool airflow that has passed through the first portion and the second portion; a fourth portion comprising a filter material; and a wrapper that surrounds the first portion, the second portion, the third portion, wherein the second portion includes the moisturizing agent in an amount of 10 wt % or less based on a total weight of the tobacco material such that heat conductivity in the second portion is improved.
