Smoking article filter and method of manufacturing the same
A smoking article filter comprising: a filter material having a circular cylinder shape with first and second end surfaces and a side surface, and including a corrugated film with ridge portions and valley portions arranged alternately, the ridge portions and valley portions extending from the first end surface to the second end surface to form a plurality of air flow paths that allow air to flow from the first end surface to the second end surface; a plurality of particles arranged in the air flow paths; and a filter wrapping paper wrapping the filter material such that the side surface is covered with the filter wrapping paper.

METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING AN AEROSOL GENERATING ARTICLE
The present invention provides a method for assembling an aerosol generating article, wherein a first component (1) of the aerosol generating article is arranged in a first groove (3), and an at least partially hollow second component (2) of the aerosol generating article is arranged in a second groove (4). The first component (1) is pushed in a first direction (100) along the first groove (3) into the second component (2) in the second groove (4), by relatively moving the first groove (3) in a second direction (200) with respect to a guide element (6) with an engagement surface (7), such that the engagement surface (7) engages and pushes the first component (1) in the first direction (100). The invention further provides an apparatus for assembling an aerosol generating article and a use of an inclined engagement surface (7) for the insertion of a first component (1) in an at least partially hollow second component (2) of an aerosol generating article.
FILTER ROD INCLUDING ELECTROSTATICALLY CHARGED FIBERS
A filter rod comprises a core of cellulose acetate fibers surrounded by a lofty porous network of charge retaining polymer fibers. The charge retaining fibers can be charged to attract and hold particles from such sources as particulate matter from sorbents (preventing break-through), and smoke constituents while having a suitable pressure drop.

LYOCELL MATERIAL FOR CIGARETTE FILTER, AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
This invention relates to a method of manufacturing a lyocell material for a cigarette filter, including (S1) spinning a lyocell spinning dope composed of 8 to 13 wt % of a cellulose pulp and 87 to 92 wt % of an N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide (NMMO) aqueous solution; (S2) coagulating the lyocell spinning dope spun in (S1), thus obtaining a lyocell multifilament; (S3) water-washing the lyocell multifilament obtained in (S2); (S4) oiling the lyocell multifilament water-washed in (S3); and (S5) applying steam and pressure to the lyocell multifilament obtained in (S4), thus obtaining a crimped tow having 30 to 40 crimps per inch.

FILTER TIP, TUBES, AND CONES
A filter strip is provided for rolling sheets to construct custom cigars and/or cigarettes. The filter strip may be made of a deformable material which can be positioned on one end of the rolling sheet. The filter strip can be folded in a zig zag or spiral filter section with open section located longitudinally below to form a filter tip. The filter tip can assist the user in rolling by hand a substantially cylindrical or conical cigar or cigarette. The filter tip prevents tobacco filler material from being drawn through the cigar or cigarette and into a user's mouth, and permits the entire amount of tobacco filler to be consumed/smoked without risking burned hands and/or lips.

AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE COMPRISING A HOLLOW TUBE SEGMENT COMPRISING POLYHYDROXYALKANOATE
An aerosol-generating article is provided for producing an inhalable aerosol upon heating, the aerosol-generating article including: a rod of aerosol-generating substrate, the aerosol-generating substrate including at least 12 percent by weight of an aerosol former, and the rod having a length of from 5 millimetres to 50 millimetres; and a hollow tube segment with a support element and including fibrous filtration material, the hollow tube segment disposed immediately downstream of the rod and in longitudinal alignment with the rod, in which the fibrous filtration material includes fibres including a polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) polymer or copolymer, and in which the hollow tube segment includes at least about 25 percent by weight of the PHA polymer or copolymer. A system including an aerosol-generating device and the aerosol-generating article is also provided.
