FILTER COMPONENT FOR SMOKING
A filter component for tobacco smoking, comprises a filter body (1), a filter core material (2), and a filter closing layer (3). The filter body (1) is a hollow cylinder, and the filter core material (2) is built in the filter body (1). At least one end of the filter body (1) is closed by the filter closing layer (3). The filter core material (2) is a granular filter material, filament filter material, folded filter material, or similar filter material having a shape structure with a large specific surface area. The filter component for smoking can be widely used in the field of tobacco and can be built into cigarettes or arranged in related accessories. The filter component for smoking can effectively filter moisture and tar in smoke, and can also ensure good smoking feel and effect.
Smoking article with concentric filter
A smoking article (10) incorporates a tobacco rob (12) and a filter attached to the tobacco rod. The filter includes a concentric filter segment (20) having a central core portion (23) with sorbent material and an outer periphery layer (24) circumscribed about the central core portion. At least about 80 weight % of the sorbent in the smoking article is disposed in the central core portion. The central core portion has a lower RTD than the periphery layer. A ventilation zone (30) is disposed adjacent an upstream end of the concentric sorbent segment.
A smoking article, a smoking article filter section and a method of manufacturing a smoking article
A smoking article and a method of manufacturing a smoking article A smoking article has a filter section for receiving smoke and/or other aerosol generated by said smoking article, a variable ventilation arrangement configured to provide a user controllable level of ventilation into the filter section and a flavour source configured to release flavour to said smoke and/or other aerosol generated by said smoking article at a location in said smoke and/or other aerosol downstream of said ventilation arrangement.
Smoking article mouthpiece including aerogel
A smoking article (10) incorporates a mouthpiece (14), the mouthpiece includes an open pore structure converted from an organic gel and a functional material dispersed in the open pore structure, such as aerogel particles (20).
SMOKING ARTICLE COMPRISING AEROGEL
A smoking article is provided that includes an aerogel, which can be optionally impregnated with a catalytic metal compound or can optionally be coated with at least one aerosol-forming material and a flavoring agent. The smoking article comprises various segments such as a heat generation segment, an aerosol-generation segment, and a mouth end. The aerogel can be placed near or within any of these segments.
The presence of the aerogel can reduce the concentration of certain gaseous components of mainstream smoke generated during use of a smoking article incorporating a heat generation segment containing a fuel element.
ABSORPTION AND FILTRATION MEDIA
Disclosed are keratin fibre cellular components, specifically keratin fibre cuticle and cortical cells, and their use as absorption and filtration media, and in thermal insulation materials. The keratin fibre cellular components may be oxidised. The keratin fibre cellular components have improved absorbency and filtration capacity compared to the source keratin fibres. The keratin fibre cellular components may be used in, for example, various products for passive absorption and active filtration of gas or liquid media.
Smoke filtration device for making self- and machine-rolled conically shaped cigarettes and manufacturing method
A smoke filtration device for making self- and machine-rolled conically shaped cigarettes (10) comprises a frusto-conical tubular body (2) with a proximal end (4), a distal end (6) and an internal smoke filtering passage (8) connecting said ends. To improve the device, said smoke filtering passage is integrally formed with said tubular body, said tubular body is made of a sintered ceramic material, and said smoke filtering passage is configured as an open-cell porous structure having an effective porosity of 75 to 85%. In a method of manufacturing the smoke filtration device, the frusto-conical tubular body including said open-cell porous structure is formed by additive manufacturing.
Smoking article having a filter including a capsule
There is provided a smoking article having an aerosol generating substrate and a mouthpiece. The mouthpiece includes a cavity at least partially filled with a particulate material, such as activated carbon, and contains at least one breakable capsule of a liquid flavourant at least partially surrounded by the particulate material, such that the force required to break the capsule within the mouthpiece to release the liquid flavourant is less than three times the inherent burst strength of the capsule.
DEVICE FOR FILTERING SMOKE
A device for filtering smoke, in particular tobacco and/or cannabis cigarette filters, comprising a jacket, in which jacket there are provided at least a first portion, a second portion and a third portion, the second portion being arranged between the first portion and the third portion, wherein in the first section a first nonwoven filter material, in the second section a porous filter material, and in the third section a second nonwoven filter material being provided in the third section; wherein a fourth section is provided in the jacket, wherein the third section is arranged between the second section and the fourth section, and wherein the fourth section is arranged such that, when flowing through the jacket, a pressure drop across the fourth section is lower than a pressure drop across the third section.
