A knitted foot garment including an upper, heel, toe, and sole knitted fabric portions integrally woven together to define a chamber. A plurality of encapsulated polymer pads are attached to and protrude from an outer surface of at least one of a heel, toe, ball and arch portion of the garment. The polymer pads contain gas infused gel to provide increased cushioning to the sole of the foot garment. A method for treating a knitted foot garment that provides added cushion to the knitted material of the sock includes the steps of heating a liquid polymer gel mixture, forcing gas into the mixture, agitating the mixture to create a gas infused mixture, injecting the gas infused mixture into a polymer template including a plurality of pads, attaching the polymer pads to the outer sole of a knitted foot garment, and cooling the gas infused polymer mixture.

A sock having a sock fabric part covering the top and ankle regions of the foot and a sole having a layered structure combined with the sock fabric part. The sock has a plurality of embossed surfaces configured on the surface of said sole that contacts the ground and hexagonally shaped sole components formed by these embossed surfaces when they come together, protrusions provided on the embossed surfaces found on the top and toe regions of the sole, and channels provided among the embossed surfaces.

Selectively textured footbeds for athletic footwear are described. A footbed includes a rearfoot portion and a plurality of discrete raised areas extending from the rearfoot portion. The discrete raised areas are constructed and arranged to engage a rearfoot region of a plantar surface of a foot. The footbeds provide a sensory input to the plantar surface to allow a user to determine whether and/or how to adjust his or her gait.

A method of manufacturing a custom order shoe includes steps of a last making step for producing a last based on the customer's foot data, a shoe upper knitting and shaping step for sewing an upper fabric by three-dimensional shaped knitting and keeping the shape of an upper part in a state where the last is inserted, and a shoe completing step for selectively attaching an insole and an outsole to the upper part.

The present disclosure is a sock that has a leg that extends up a person's calf and a foot integral with the leg that cover's the person's foot. A method for manufacturing a footwear article may include steps of placing a sock on a last; coupling a layer to the sock in the sole area; coupling a heel cushion to the layer in the heel area; placing a heel-area piece and a ball-area piece in a bottom portion of a mold; introducing the last and the sock into the mold; closing the mold; and injecting a polymer material into the bottom portion of the mold, so that the polymer material flows to the sole area, and the lower sides of the sock.

A moisturizing facilitating foot covering assembly includes a sleeve of cloth material to be positioned on and cover a person's foot. The sleeve includes a bottom wall and a perimeter wall that is attached to and extends upwardly from the bottom wall. The perimeter wall includes a heel end, a toe end, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. A top wall is attached to the perimeter wall. The top wall has a foot opening therein positioned adjacent to the heel end. The cloth material is air and fluid permeable. A coating is positioned on an interior surface of the sleeve. The coating is flexible as well as air and fluid impermeable. The top wall is free of the coating. The coating prevents the sleeve from absorbing any moisturization composition positioned on a lower surface of the person's foot.

A footwear system for controlling longitudinal sliding of a shoe over the hindfoot of a wearer during ambulation that includes an insole with a tether, a compression sock, and hook and loop tape for attaching the heel end of the insole to a heel flap portion of the compression sock.
