A footlet is provided with a heel portion formed by knitting, a toe portion, and a middle portion located between the heel portion and the toe portion. The middle portion comprises lateral sides that extend between the heel portion and the toe portion on either side. The heel portion is provided with a knitted elastic band forming an edge, which is provided with an anti-slip element applied thereto on a side facing the toe portion. The anti-slip element has been applied to the elastic band after the knitting of at least the elastic band.

A method for ink-jet printing a two-component silicone-based composition onto a textile substrate is presented. The composition includes a first component having at least one silicone polymer and a second component having at least one cross-linking agent. The method includes the following steps: providing a printing system having at least one print head, itself having at least one print nozzle of spraying the two-component silicone-based composition onto the textile substrate, and a device for producing relative movement between the print head and the textile substrate, spraying the first component and the second component onto the textile substrate via the print nozzle cross-linking the silicone polymer by reaction between the first component and the second component so as to form a printed pattern on the textile substrate.

An improved baby sock that will reduce the instance of the sock coming off the foot while in use and related applications to children's, women's, and men's socks. Application of the invention to improved in-place retention for hats, mittens, foot-less onesies, shoes, and bedding are presented.

Aspects herein are directed to a grip film or grip film kit comprising an edge trim portion and at least one ovoid portion. The edge trim portion may have a wave-shaped configuration in which the ovoid portion is at least partially disposed. Other aspects herein are directed to an extremity covering portion comprising the grip film on at least one opening to provide grip that may assist in maintaining the position and/or configuration of the extremity covering portion on the body of a wearer.

An apparatus is provided for impeding a downward travel of a leg section of a sock by the use of a retainer provided about at least one of a heel of the sock and a heel opening, defined by a heel opening perimeter, of the sock, wherein the retainer impedes the downward travel of the leg section of the sock. A method is provided for the use of the retainer to impede the downward travel of the leg section of the sock.
