A transformable backpack and jacket system which allows the backpack to be converted into a jacket and be reversed. The jacket and backpack can also be worn simultaneously, resulting in three total modes of wear. The first mode has a wearable jacked with a backpack, including straps, secured away in pouch in the back of the jacket and covered with a zippered lid. The second mode has the backpack removed from the pouch and worn in conjunction with the jacket. The third mode has the jacket removed and stored within a front panel of the backpack. The jacket and backpack are permanently connected. In all three of the modes, the contents of the backpack remain securely stored within a backpack storage space.

The first front panel and the second front panel are coupled to the rear panel to form a neck aperture. The first front panel comprises a first free edge and a first lower corner. The second front penal comprises a second free edge and a second lower corner. The first lower corner and the second lower corner are chamfered corners. The front panel fastening mechanism attaches the first free edge to the second free edge. The rear panel comprises an upper torso section and a lower blanket section. The lower blanket section is attachable to the first front panel and the second front panel.

A clothing apparatus includes a body portion, a hood, and a front panel fastening mechanism. The body portion comprises a first front panel, a second front panel, and a rear panel. A convertible garment may be converted between a top configuration for covering the torso of a person and bottom configuration for covering the lower half of the person, and vice-versa. Preferably, the bottom configuration has a front portion, a back portion, a right side having a third elongate fastener and a left side having a fourth elongate fastener.
