Traffic Control Safety Gloves
This present invention relates to a safety and traffic directing accessory, such as a glove or set of gloves. The glove has a palmar portion for substantially covering the palm of the hand of a wearer, a dorsal portion for substantially covering dorsal region of the hand, finger portions for accommodating fingers, a thumb portion for the thumb and a cuff portion for securing around the wrist. The palmar portion and inner surface of the finger portions and cuff portion (positioned in extension of palmar portion) are a bright, reflective red to indicate a stop signal. The dorsal portion and outer surface of the finger portions and cuff portion are a bright, reflective green to indicate a go signal. In use, the red color is shown to communicate a stop signal and green color is shown to communicate a go signal to drivers, pedestrians, and motorists.
PROTECTIVE GLOVE
A glove comprises a textile component and an electronic module component wherein the textile component comprises in order: a flame-resistant fabric having inner and outer surfaces, a first temperature detecting sensor located next to the inner surface of the flame-resistant fabric, at least one thermally insulating fabric having inner and outer surfaces, a second temperature detecting sensor located on the inner surface of the thermally insulating fabric that is closest to the skin of the wearer and an electronic module component capable of predicting body burns comprising a removable encapsulated electronic module located in a pocket of the glove.
Safety system for machinery
A safety system for a machine having a danger zone includes an induction coil having one or more turns extending along the periphery of a part of a worker's body as, for example, extending alone the fingers of a glove worn by the worker. A drive circuit applies a time-varying current having an identifiable characteristic such as the frequency of an alternating current. A magnetic field having the characteristic of the time-varying current is induced in an omnidirectional magnetic field sensor mounted adjacent the danger zone. The magnitude of this field is monitored. When the magnitude exceeds a threshold, a warning signal is issued and protective action may be taken, such as stopping or reversing the machine.
Absorbent wristband apparatus
An absorbent wristband apparatus is provided. In some embodiments, the apparatus may comprise a body with a first end and a second end. The body may be formed into a hollow cylindrical shape with a first opening at the first end and a second opening at the second end. A cavity may be disposed in the body and may be continuous between the opening at the first end and the opening at the second end. A first elastic element may be coupled at a first end of the body and a second elastic element may be coupled at a second end of the body. The apparatus may also comprise one or more fasteners such as a loop fastener and/or a button fastener which may preferably be coupled to the body proximate to an elastic element and/or proximate to an end.
WEARABLE SAFETY WARNING AND MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
An apparatus for protecting a power tool user includes a glove or other garment having at least one sensor that monitors proximity to the power tool. Glove embodiments can include finger and/or thumb proximity sensors, and/or sensors that detect hand position, finger and/or wrist joint angle, vibration, and/or acceleration. Sensing targets can be retroactively installed on the power tool, and can define warning and/or danger zones. Sensing can be via magnetic, electromagnetic, capacitive, eddy current, and/or range finding means. Sizes of warning and/or target areas can be controlled by selecting targets from a plurality of targets of various detection ranges. Protective responses can vary according to different sensed events, and can include audible, visual, and/or tactile alerts, and/or interruption of power to the tool. Embodiments can record proximity and/or status data during a work session for review, training, and certification purposes. A controller can be physically cooperative with the garment.
Relay race gloves
The relay race gloves are provided to each runner participating in the relay race. That being said, there are a plurality of relay race gloves included, and each relay race glove is able to detect the presence of one another via a contact sensor. The contact sensor is ideally provided on a palm surface of the respective relay race glove such that during a relay race the two runners would simply touch each others hands in a manner consistent with a palm-to-palm clap in order for the contact sensors to detect one another, and initiate an alarm sequence. Each relay race glove includes a processing member that is wired to the contact sensor. The processing member is also wired to a transmitter, a receiver, a powering member, and a speaker.
IMPROVED GARMENT
Described is a garment 1 comprising an element for the transmission of a signal designed to automatically vary its impedance in response to disturbances produced in the use of the garment 1 and a device for detecting impedance variations in the transmission element 10, 11.
PERSONAL SAFETY DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A personal safety device including a wearable garment, a housing disposed in the wearable garment, a retractable blade disposed in the housing wherein the retractable blade having a retracted position and extended position, and a biasing element disposed in the housing and biasing the retracted blade to the retracted position.
Customizable Oven Mitt with a Temperature Sensor and Speaker
A customizable oven mitt is provided. The customizable oven mitt includes a front panel and a rear panel joined to form a mitt having a wrist opening, a closed ended thumb pocket, and a closed ended finger pocket. The mitt is composed of a heat resistant material that protects the wearer from hot objects. The exterior of the mitt includes a plurality of hook and loop fasteners or similar fasteners that allow decorative accessory components to be secured to the mitt. Additionally, the mitt includes an internal battery power supply operably connected to a temperature sensor and a speaker. When the temperature sensor detects the mitt contacting an object that is above a threshold temperature, the speaker emits an audible alert, notifying the wearer and surrounding individuals.
