TEXTILES HAVING A MICROSTRUCTURED SURFACE AND GARMENTS COMPRISING THE SAME
The present invention relates to textile articles and clothing such as outdoor garments, indoor garments, and commercial protective wear exposed to contact mixtures of water and oil, swimwear and winter wear exposed to mixtures of water and air. At least part of these textile articles possess a surface provided with at least one of 1) a high surface area, 2) hierarchical pattern, 3) contact angles such that hydrophilic portion of a contact mixture possesses a high contact angle and the hydrophobic portion of a contact mixture possesses a low contact angle, and 4) hysteresis angle greater than 5 degrees. Hydrophobic/Hydrophilic contact mixtures of the present invention can be surfaces where water and or ice are present in combination with oil and or air. The textile articles of the present invention resist slippage on surfaces possessing hydrophobic/hydrophilic contact mixtures.
Wenzel-cassie glove
A glove with an enhanced gripping textured surface is disclosed herein. In preferred embodiments, the glove contains a palm region adapted to cover the palm of a person's hand, a thumb region extending outwardly from the palm region, an index finger region disposed adjacent the thumb region, a middle finger region adjacent the index finger region, a ring finger region adjacent the middle finger region, and a little finger region adjacent the ring finger region with each region containing a textured surface. In preferred embodiments, the textured surface is formed by a plurality of dimensionally hierarchical structures superimposed in layers. The textured surface of the invention, when in contact with wet tissue, repels water at a first texture layer and traps tissue at a second texture layer, such that when in tissue contact, especially exudative tissue, tissue fixatively localizes to the glove surface.
Article for improved grip and protection in athletics
Sleeves for improving performance and control are disclosed. The sleeves are constructed for use on the fingers, wherein each sleeve is constructed in some embodiments with grip zones that match areas of the finger to ensure improved grip while maintaining flexibility, compression, protection, and material durability. Each grip zone is positioned to ensure that fingers are able to naturally bend without impeding grip performance. A spine on a rear of the sleeve ensures material durability, limits over extension, and provides padding and protection.
Crawling gloves
A glove includes a fingerless glove body having a stiffener between the thumb and pointer finger to prevent a person from picking up objects between the thumb and pointer finger and putting them into her mouth. A brace is also provided to prevent the wearer from touching the palm of the glove with their fingers to further prevent a person from pickup up objects by making a first and putting the objects into her mouth. The glove further provides abrasion resistance and slip resistance, such as for a crawling baby.
Protective glove providing continuous webbing protection
Embodiments disclosed herein include devices and methods pertaining to gloves for protection of a wearer's hand. According to various embodiments of the disclosed technology, disclosed is a glove. The glove may include a glove body comprising a cuff portion, a palm portion, a thumb portion, and finger portions. The plurality of finger portions comprises at least one of an index finger portion, a middle finger portion, a ring finger portion, and a pinky finger portion. The glove may include a plurality of impact disbursement pads. The impact disbursement pads comprise finger pads, knuckle pads, metacarpal pads, and a thumb pad. The glove may include a webbing portion and knuckle pads. The glove body is formed from a first material, the webbing portion is formed from a second material, and the impact disbursement pads are formed from a third material.
HYGIENIC PROTECTIVE COVER FOR PUBLIC SURFACES
A hygienic protective cover for public surfaces includes a thin flexible panel of spring metal, coated with a layer of silicone. The spring metal can be a bi-stable ribbon spring. The spring metal composition of the flexible panel is configured to transfer between a straight, semi-rigid form and a curved form adapted to wrap around an exterior surface of a public handle, when forcibly applied to the public handle. A silicone layer encapsulates the panel to minimize transfer of germs. A protruding grip on the outer side of the panel enables the user to grip and manipulate the panel when wrapped around the public handle. The device is sized and dimensioned to be easily carried on a public transportation vehicle, such that a user can wrap the device around a section of the public handle to help prevent direct contact with the exterior surface thereof.
NON-SLIP GLOVE
An object of the present invention is to provide a non-slip glove which is superior in workability owing to ease of grasping an object and enables maintaining an antislip property for a long period of time. The non-slip glove of the present invention includes: a knitted glove main body made of fibers which includes a main body portion formed into a bag shape so as to cover a wearer's palm and dorsal hand, bottomed cylindrical first to fifth finger portions extending from the main body portion so as to cover the wearer's first to fifth fingers, respectively, and a cylindrical cuff portion extending in a direction opposite to the first to fifth finger portions; a coating layer made of a rubber or a resin which is overlaid on a palm part of the knitted glove main body and a palm side of the first to fifth finger portions; and a reinforcing portion made of a rubber or a resin which is interposed between the knitted glove main body and the coating layer, wherein the reinforcing portion is disposed at a position on the palm side, the position corresponding to at least carpometacarpal joints of the third to fifth fingers, a navicular bone, a lunate bone, a hamate bone, and a pisiform bone at a time of wearing.
Protective hand covering for infants
A protective hand covering has a flexible shell with an open end and a closed end, and a constricted region between the open and closed ends. The constricted region defines a passage for receiving the child's hand. The hand covering may be worn by an infant or small child during sleeping or other activities, A gripping material is disposed on an inside surface of the shell at the constricted region and around the passage. The gripping material has a coefficient of friction higher than a coefficient of friction of the material of the flexible shell, such that the hand covering is discouraged from coming off of the child's hand.
CRAWLING GLOVES
A glove includes a fingerless glove body having a stiffener between the thumb and pointer finger to prevent a person from picking up objects between the thumb and pointer finger and putting them into her mouth. A brace is also provided to prevent the wearer from touching the palm of the glove with their fingers to further prevent a person from pickup up objects by making a fist and putting the objects into her mouth. The glove further provides abrasion resistance and slip resistance, such as for a crawling baby.
