Elongated Device to Seal a Substrate
An elongated device to seal an edge of a substrate has an elongated flexible linear form capable of rolling, akin to a tape. The tape has its own substrate encapsulated by a polyurethane coating. Upon application of heat, the tape welds to a base layer of a fabric, such as nylon. The tape continuously merges into the base and thus prevents intrusion of fluids and gasses through any stitching or other apertures of the base, including any pathogens, microbes, and viruses in the fluids and gasses. The tape resists over forty washings of the conjoined base part of a garment made from the fabric. The tape has proportions that promote a tight seal of the base and comfortable feel to the skin of a wearer of a garment having the tape upon the fabric.
Sartorial and/or industrial design and method for manufacturing said sartorial and/or industrial design
A sartorial and/or industrial design is provided that is suitable for defining an item of clothing made exclusively from natural-type fibres for a user and including at least one main portion including fabric arranged in straight grain with respect to the body of the user and a secondary portion including a fabric arranged bias-wise with respect to the body of the user that is arranged in an area of the body subject to higher traction than the rest of the body and essentially shaped like at least part of the area of the body.

Zippered pants
Described herein are pants containing a zipper extending through the waistband and the entire outseam of each pant leg. The pants have a flange of fabric disposed on the interior of each zipper to prevent direct contact between the zipper and the skin of a person wearing the pants. The pants also include a fabric tab attached at the waistband next to the zipper to cover an exterior portion of the zipper. The pants provide benefits to wearers who have limited mobility, sensitive skin, or a physical impediment, such as a cast, by easing the challenges of applying the pants to the legs.

Fabric Seam with Electrical Components
One or more electrical components may be incorporated into a fabric seam. The fabric seam may join two pieces of material in a fabric item or may form the border of a fabric item. The fabric seam may include first and second fabric portions with one or more conductive strands extending between the first and second fabric portions. An electrical component may be coupled to the conductive strand. The fabric seam may have one or more side pockets for capturing the edge of a material such as a piece of fabric. The fabric seam may have gaps that allow conductive strands within the fabric seam to branch off in different directions. Openings may be incorporated in the fabric seam to allow air or light to pass through and/or to form a window for an electrical component in the fabric seam.
Tape attachment systems and methods
Various examples are provided related to attachment of tape or strips of material along a seam of a garment or other material. In one example, among others, a robotic system includes a joining device that can attach a tape or strip of material across a seam, a loading system that can position material with the seam for attachment of the tape or strip of material, a seam feed system that can adjust positioning of the material for attachment, and a tape handling system that can supply the tape or strip of material to the joining head of the joining device for attachment across the seam. A tape handling system can include a tape joining assembly that can receive tape or strip of material from a current tape cartridge and bond it to the tape or strip of material clamped by the tape joining assembly.
Reversible Upper Body Garment with Hidden Compartments
A non-gender specific article of clothing worn on the upper body of a human that is reversible, comprised in part of eco-friendly material, and has hidden compartments designed for the secure storage of medical devices or personal items. The article is comprised of two layers of partially recycled fabric that are affixed in a manner that allows either side of the garment to be worn facing outward or in direct contact with the body. The layers are affixed at specific attachment points and by seams that create portions in between the layers that may be accessed from any location across the top perimeter edges of the garment including the neckline and armholes. The portions are engineered to limit movement of items stowed as well as permit transfer of items from one portion to another without removing the items from the article of clothing.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PRODUCT PROVIDED WITH A CAVITY, PRODUCT AND SYSTEM FOR THE MANUFACTURE THEREOF
The product manufactured according to the method is waterproof and provided with a cavity, such as a glove, shoe, or a backpack. Initially, a structure is made in the shape of the product by stitching portions of a laminated material attached together by corresponding seams. The stitched structure is then turned inside out and a thermally-curable silicone compound material, in uncured liquid state, is applied on the seams. The structure with applications is then simultaneously subjected to heating with a curing temperature of the material, and to a vacuum operation with pumping means that suck in air from outside the structure with applications into the structure and extract it outside. The invention also relates to a system for manufacturing according to the method.
