A method of integrating a hair extension weft on a human scalp is disclosed. The hair extension weft includes a polyurethane strip enclosing a plurality of meshes arranged in a longitudinal direction of the strip. Each mesh is configured to have a plurality of contiguous hairs attached in a transverse orientation. The hair extension weft includes several gaps formed between the plurality of meshes in the longitudinal direction. Each gap is configured to receive a plurality of hairs from the human scalp. Upon clipping the hair extension weft to the human scalp, the plurality of hairs is pulled through each gap with a needle shaped tool placed under the each gap of the hair extension weft. A microbead is clamped to the plurality of hairs pulled through the each gap, to anchor the hair extension weft to the human scalp.

Apparatus and associated methods relate to two or more hair wefts defined by respective filamentous cortices to which hair is secured, which cortices are secured together along their length by at least one binding filament, and to which cortices are coupled an elastic filament to form a hair extension configured such that the cortices and elastic filament are configured to circumscribe a wearer's head. In an illustrative example, a plurality of deformable beads may be disposed between the hair wefts and configured to releasably secure the hair extension to a wearer's natural hair. Each hair weft may, for example, have a plurality of individual hair bundles. Hair bundles may, for example, be separated by a predetermined cut point in the filamentous cortex. A system having a sleeve, a rod, a microtube, a transitional member, and an acceptance member. The rod is sized and shaped to have an outer diameter that is smaller than a width of an existing hair and configured to accept the sleeve. The transitional member is sized and shaped to enable the sleeve to be slid from the rod and stretched onto the microtube. The microtube is sized and shaped to accept the existing hair and the sleeve. The acceptance member is sized and shaped to enable the existing hair to be positioned into the microtube. When the sleeve is slid off the microtube and onto the existing hair, the sleeve constricts towards its original diameter, thus gripping the existing hair.
