METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING INDIVIDUALIZED PROTECTIVE GEAR FROM SCAN AND RESULTING PRODUCTS
A method for manufacturing individualized protective gear such as pads based on a scan, and the resulting pads, are disclosed herein. A garment comprising a pocket with a visibly defined border is selected. A wearer dons the garment. A scan is taken of at least a portion of the garment over the wearer's body at the location where the pocket is disposed over the wearer's body. The scan is converted to a mesh model. The mesh model is used to define a first surface of the equipment configured to form to the wearer's body at the location where the pocket is disposed over the wearer's body and a second surface offset from the first surface. The model may be checked to identify production defects, which, if present, are removed. The equipment may be manufactured using additive printing technology.
Tailored compression garments and methods of tailoring compression garments for individuals
Embodiments relate to methods for generating at least one custom pattern for use in garment construction, the method comprising receiving scan data relating to a three dimensional scanned body; receiving input regarding a garment use case; selecting at least one compression value based at least in part on the garment use case; calculating at least one negative ease dimension based on the at least one compression value; and modifying predetermined garment pattern dimensions based on the at least one negative ease dimension to generate the at least one custom pattern.

Apparatus and Method for Designing Patterns for Wearable Items
Described is an apparatus for designing a pattern for a wearable item, comprising: (a.) position detector adapted to detect a position of at least a portion of a body of a user; and (b.) data processor adapted to compute at least one intersection of at least one virtual object and the portion of the body of the user, and pattern data representative of a pattern for the wearable item based on the intersection. In addition, described is a method for designing a pattern for a wearable item.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MANUFACTURE OF A GARMENT
Methods and systems for manufacture of a garment are disclosed, in particular for generating fabrication data for manufacture of a garment, where said garment is for regulation of a body region of a wearer of the garment. Measurement data for the body region of the wearer is obtained, and the measurement data is modified to simulate a regulating effect for the garment. The modified measurement data is used to generate the fabrication data for manufacturing the garment. The measurement data may be obtained for an unregulated state of the body region of the wearer, the measurement data may be modified to simulate a regulated state of the body region of the wearer. An initial form of the garment may be manufactured using the fabrication data, and the measurement data used to obtain a three-dimensional model of the body region. The initial form of the garment may then be compared to the three-dimensional model; and the comparison used to modify the initial form of the garment.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORMING PROTECTIVE SPORTS EQUIPMENT FOR A CUSTOMER
A custom-fitted protective sports equipment and a method of making the same can comprise, at a first location, obtaining head data for a customer's head comprising a length, a width, and at least one head contour. With at least one processor, generating a computerized three-dimensional (3D) headform matching the customer's head length, width, and head contour from the head data. The 3D headform can be compared to a safety standard. At a second location different from the first location, the custom-fitted protective sports equipment is formed, wherein the custom-fitted helmet satisfies the safety standard and comprises an inner surface comprising a topography that conforms to the length, width, and at least one contour of the customer's head.
