Protective Headgear
A protective device for a head of an individual person. The protective device forms a cap that includes a flexible headpiece and a segmented outer protective shell disposed about the flexible headpiece for distributing an impact load. The device covers and protects the front, top, sides and back of the head from impact injuries and rebound effects of high speed objects as seen for example, a baseball or softball moving at a speed of up to about 125 mph.
INSERT FOR A HAT
A bump cap foam insert for a hat that uses tab and slot structures to form the insert in to a generally conical shape to fit into a hat. The foam insert is constructed by the use of vented radial extensions that extend from a common center and that have a density of about 4 pounds per cubic foot, a thickness of about 0.16″ and a tensile strength of about 90 psi.
Systems and devices for detecting, locating and mitigating concussive impact forces
Systems for detecting, locating and mitigating impact forces directed towards a person's head are described herein. The systems include devices for wearing on a wearer's head. The devices include a base configured to conform to the wearer's head and retain a plurality of pouches on an outer surface of the base. The plurality of pouches are configured to absorb at least a portion of the impact force directed towards the outer surface of the base, provide an indication when the impact force directed towards the outer surface of the base has a magnitude exceeding a concussion-indicating level of force, and provide a location of impact when the impact force directed towards the outer surface of the base has a magnitude exceeding the concussion-indicating level of force.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HEAD PROTECTION DEVICE
A system and method for a head protection device designed for pitchers that is made up of a plurality of segments whereby the head protection device may be inserted into a band or liner of a baseball cap with a portion extending downward to provide greater protection of the temple/pterion area of the skull and brain by allowing the zygomatic arch and the upper temporal area of the skull to absorb the impact of a ball striking directly on the temple/pterion area.

Head Protection Assembly
A head protection assembly for protecting a user from head injury includes a cap that is comprised of a deformable material such that the cap can be worn beneath a helmet on a user's head. The cap is comprised of a resiliently compressible material to protect the user's head from impact injury. Additionally, the cap includes a flap that is positionable in a deployed position having the flap extending downwardly from the cap. In this way the flap can extend downwardly along the back of the user's neck. Moreover, the flap is positionable in a stored position having the flap resting against the cap.

PROTECTIVE LINER FOR HEADWEAR
A protective headwear liner may include an encasement and a moldable and hardenable material within the encasement. The encasement is deformable to a U-shape while containing the material prior to hardening of the material. The U-shape may have a flat front and two flat sides corresponding to a front and sides of a person's head, respectively, wherein the two flat sides are joined to the flat front by curves. The material is configured to retain the U-shape following hardening of the material.
Headband with protective insert
A headband with one or more protective inserts. The inserts may be strategically positioned to provide protection for specific areas of a person's head that are most vulnerable to impact, depending on the sport or other activity. The inserts may be directly attached to the headband, or may be enclosed in pouches which are directly attached to the headband. The headband may be worn with or without additional headgear, and may be configured to cooperate with the additional headgear as to form, fit, and functionality.
