An Interchangeable Heel Device for a Shoe and Method
An interchangeable heel device for a shoe is disclosed. The device has an upper heel block, a detachable heel, and a key. The key is in a top of the detachable heel or in a bottom of the upper heel block and a receiving recess is in the other of the detachable heel or upper heel block. The key is movable within the receiving recess between a released position and an engaged position. In the engaged position, each key first engagement portion is engaged with one of the receiving first engagement portions and each key second engagement portions is engaged with one of the receiving second engagement portions to join the key to the perimeter of the receiving recess and the heel to the sole. In the released position, each key first engagement portion is aligned with one of the receiving non-engagement recesses and the key is removable from the receiving recess.

Shoe having an interchangeable heel
A shoe having an interchangeable heel is disclosed. The shoe has a sole, a receiving recess, and a heel. The receiving recess is in a heel area of the shoe below an insole of the sole. The heel has a key on a top side of the heel configured to engage the receiving recess. The key is movable within the receiving recess between a released position and an engaged position. In the engaged position each key first engagement portion is engaged with one of the receiving first engagement portions and each key second engagement portion is engaged with one of the receiving second engagement portions to join the key to the perimeter and the heel to the sole. In the released position each key first engagement portion is aligned with one of the receiving non-engagement recesses and the key is removable from the receiving recess.

A combination, comprising: a shoe having an upper and a sole, wherein the shoe is configured to cover an instep of a foot of a wearer; and a heel integration system including an insert having a front end and a back end, the insert configured to be disposed in the shoe, and configured to receive an ankle-foot orthoses brace while the shoe is worn, the insert having a heel portion and an ankle portion, the ankle portion having a curved wall with at least one bulge formed therein,
wherein the bulge is created from an indentation formed on an interior surface of the ankle portion which forms a protrusion on an exterior surface of the ankle portion.
HEEL TIP CUSHION WITH ANCHORING MECHANISM INSIDE HEEL STEM
A high heel footwear including a heel tip assembly and a heel assembly. The heel tip assembly includes a top lift abutting against the heel, a rigid shaft member having a threaded portion, and a first wedge-lock feature configured to prevent the top lift from rotating. The heel assembly includes a threaded insert, a spring, a hollow insert, and a second wedge-lock feature. The threaded insert is received inside an opening formed in the heel to receive the threaded portion of the rigid shaft member. The spring is also received inside the opening and abuts against the threaded insert. The hollow insert abuts against the spring. The rigid shaft member passes through the threaded insert, the spring, and the hollow insert. The second wedge-lock feature locks with the first wedge-lock feature to retain the top lift on the end of the heel.

A high heel footwear including a heel tip assembly and a heel assembly. The heel tip assembly includes a top lift abutting against the heel, a rigid shaft member having a threaded portion, and a first wedge-lock feature configured to prevent the top lift from rotating. The heel assembly includes a threaded insert, a spring, a hollow insert, and a second wedge-lock feature. The threaded insert is received inside an opening formed in the heel to receive the threaded portion of the rigid shaft member. The spring is also received inside the opening and abuts against the threaded insert. The hollow insert abuts against the spring. The rigid shaft member passes through the threaded insert, the spring, and the hollow insert. The second wedge-lock feature locks with the first wedge-lock feature to retain the top lift on the end of the heel.
HEEL INTEGRATION FOR A SHOE
A heel integration system for a shoe includes an insert configured to be disposed in the shoe and to receive an AFO brace. The insert has a heel portion and an ankle portion. The ankle portion has at least one recess formed on an interior surface thereof. The recess is configured to receive at least one projection of the AFO brace. Advantageously, the heel integration system allows wearers with AFO braces to utilize properly sized shoes. It should be appreciated that the insert provides a predetermined clearance within the shoe for the AFO brace. Additionally, the insert of the heel integration system may militate against damage to the interior of the shoe that may otherwise be caused by friction between the AFO brace and the shoe where the insert is not utilized.

The upper base has a receiving recess that is configured to be located in a heel area of a shoe below an insole of the shoe. The key is for attaching to an upper side of a heel of a shoe. The key is movable within the receiving recess between a released position and an engaged position. In the engaged position each key first engagement portion is engaged with one of the receiving first engagement portions and each key second engagement portions is engaged with one of the receiving second engagement portions to join the key to the perimeter and the heel to the sole. In the released position each key first engagement portion is aligned with one of the receiving recessed regions and the key is removable from the receiving recess.
MULTI-PART SOLE AND HEEL ASSEMBLY
A multi-part sole and heel assembly is provided. The multi-part sole and heel assembly may be embodied as an apparatus or assembly, having a sole portion and a heel portion. The multi-part sole and heel assembly may include a soft sole second layer applied to an inner surface of a first outermost sole layer, wherein the soft sole second layer further comprises a soft sole landing area configured to provide comfort for a foot and displace sounds and impact force effects during a step.
