Article of footwear, and method for manufacturing such an article
An article of footwear (10) that includes a liner (30), an upper (14), and an insert (50). The liner has an inward surface (31) that encloses an inner void (18) for accommodating a foot, and an outward surface (32) that defines a rear shaft portion (38), a heel portion (36), and a sole portion (35). The upper has a midsole portion (42), and surrounds the rear shaft portion, the sole portion, and the heel portion of the liner. The insert is formed as a single body of material with increased hardness and stiffness relative to the upper. This insert is arranged between the liner and the upper, and includes a protruding portion (54), a heel counter (56), and a shank (58). The protruding portion extends upwards from the heel counter and along the rear shaft portion, and provides a guiding trajectory for a heel during insertion into the inner void.
WATERPROOF BOOT TO PANT CONNECTION
An article includes a first garment, a second garment, and a waterproof fastener system configured to join the first garment to the second. The waterproof fastener includes: a first annular gasket, coupled to the first garment, the first annular gasket including a flexible substrate and a continuous groove radially oriented on the first garment such that an engagement direction thereof is oriented perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the first garment, and a second annular gasket coupled to the second garment, the second annular gasket including a second flexible substrate and a continuous rib radially oriented on the second garment such that an engagement direction thereof is oriented perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the second garment. The continuous groove is configured to receive the continuous rib to form a waterproof interference fit.

The waterproof fastener includes: a first annular gasket, coupled to the first garment, the first annular gasket including a flexible substrate and a continuous groove radially oriented on the first garment such that an engagement direction thereof is oriented 90 degrees relative to a longitudinal direction of the first garment, and a second annular gasket coupled to the second garment, the second annular gasket including a second flexible substrate and a continuous rib radially oriented on the second garment such that an engagement direction thereof is oriented 90 degrees relative to a longitudinal direction of the second garment. The continuous groove is configured to receive the continuous rib to form a waterproof interference fit.
SHOES WITH WATER-RESISTANT MEMBRANES AND COATING
A shoe may include an upper portion that includes one or more textile (e.g., wool) layers and one or more water-resistant membranes for providing or enhancing water resistance of the shoes. The water-resistant membranes may be positioned between the textile layers to provide or enhance water resistance without affecting the appearance and/or feel of the interior and exterior surfaces of the upper portion. The shoe may include a durable water repellent coating along at least a portion of an exterior surface for water resistance and durability. The shoes described herein may be constructed at least partially using bio-based materials.

CONNECTION STRUCTURE OF WATERPROOF
A connection structure of a waterproof overall contains: two trouser legs, two connection bands, two cloth rings, and two waterproof strips. The two connection bands are connected with two inner walls of two bottoms of the two trouser legs respectively and are made of a same waterproof material as two waterproof shoes. The two cloth rings are adhered on the two inner walls of the two bottoms of the two trouser legs below the two connection bands respectively by using glue. The two waterproof strips are adhered between the two cloth rings and the two connection bands individually by using the glue. The two waterproof shoes are connected with the two trouser legs by using the two connection bands individually, and the two cloth rings and the two waterproof strips separate the two waterproof shoes from the two trouser legs respectively, thus avoiding the glue contacting the overall.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LIGHT-WEIGHT WATERPROOF SHOE/BOOT
A method for manufacturing a light-weight waterproof shoe/boot includes steps of cutting waterproof leather, arranging and stacking vamp section, forming through hot pressing, sewing heel section, hot-pressing heel section, combining midsole, and injecting sole to accompany fabrication of a waterproof shoe/boot, in which fabrication of a vamp section and a shaft section is accomplished through hot pressing the waterproof leather that is coated with a hot-melt adhesive; a sewing line of a heel section is covered by a heel water-resistant plate that is attached thereto through hot pressing to provide an effect of waterproofness; and a sewing line between a midsole and the vamp section is covered by an upper rim of a sole to achieve an effect of waterproofness. The vamp section and the shaft section are made with the waterproof leather that is light and thin so that the weight of the waterproof shoe/boot is greatly reduced.
Zipper-free moisture-permeable waterproof high-top shoe
A zipper-free moisture-permeable waterproof high-top shoe includes a high-top inner sock body having a first foot portion and a first leg portion cooperating with each other to define a foot space. A moisture-permeable waterproof high-top shoe-like sleeve is sleeved on the high-top inner sock body and has a second foot portion. A moisture-permeable waterproof low-top shoe-like sleeve is sleeved on the second foot portion and has a sleeve body. A high-top outer sock body is sleeved on an assembly of the inner sock body, the high-top shoe-like sleeve and the low-top shoe-like sleeve, and has a third foot portion. A sole is fixed to a bottom portion of the third foot portion.
Waterproof bootsock
A disposable waterproof bootsock is worn over foot and sock to protect from exposure to liquids, dirt and other contaminants in an environment that can penetrate footwear or reach above the ankle. The bootsock is secured about the wearer's calf and ankle using fasteners that accommodate a range of calf and ankle sizes and allow adjustment to the wearer's desired fit while maintaining the bootsock in position upright. One or more sealed compartments are provided to hold essential supplies.
