DIGIT PROTECTOR DEVICE
Disclosed herein is a digit protector device for a foot, toe, hand, and/or finger, which digit protector device, in one embodiment, can be inserted or embedded in the plaster cast for a hand or foot, wrapped into a hand or foot splint bandage, or inserted in an orthopaedic hand or foot brace, boot, or sandal.
Wearable shoe shaper
The present disclosure relates to a shoe shaper or pair of shoe shapers that may be worn by a user while wearing a pair of shoes. In particular, each wearable shoe shaper is a complex contoured sheet configured to fit over a user's left or right foot, respectively, in a front portion of the shoe. Each wearable shoe shaper includes one or more features related to performance and or comfort.
METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING FOOTWEAR STIFFENERS
A method is provided for making a microcellular shoe stiffener has first and second adhesive layers coextruded on opposite first and second surfaces of a stiffener core. The stiffener core may include a recycled polymeric material. Nitrogen in a supercritical fluid state is introduced into the extruder for the stiffener core to produce a closed cell foam with a gaseous component. The gas reduces the weight and cost of the stiffener without significantly reducing stiffness and resiliency.
Footwear upper including variable stitch density
An article of footwear includes a sole and an upper at least partially formed of a textile element. The textile element includes a yarn matrix having a plurality of interlocked strands oriented in predetermined directions. A structural element may be captured within the matrix at selected locations. In operation, the matrix is stitched onto a temporary substrate. The substrate is removed and the article coupled to a sole structure to form the article of footwear.
Last for an article of footwear
A last for forming an upper of an article of footwear includes an exterior surface, where the exterior surface includes a plurality of three dimensional structural surface components disposed over at least 50% of the exterior surface of the last.
PUNCTURE RESISTANT SOLE FOR FOOTWEAR ARTICLES
Embodiments of the present instant disclosure relate to a puncture resistant sole for a footwear article. The puncture resistant sole includes an insole and outsole. The outsole includes a formation of cleat protrusions and first polymer composition. The cleat protrusions includes a second polymer composition and are removable. The first polymer composition and the second polymer composition each includes graphene sheets dispersed therein. The graphene sheets includes an X-ray diffraction pattern displaying no signature corresponding to graphite or graphite oxide. The insole includes a third polymer composition that includes the graphene sheets dispersed therein. The graphene sheets include an oxygen-containing functional group. The first polymer composition, second polymer composition, and/or third polymer composition includes a tensile strength of 50 lbs. per square inch or greater. The first polymer composition, second polymer composition, and/or third polymer composition comprises a thermal insulation value of at least 0.12 clo.
Bomb toe cap and method of forming the same
An article is provided and includes a first ballistic particle impenetrable material, which is formable into a pack and a second material, which is formable into an enclosure for the pack, the enclosure having an interior facing surface in abutment with a substantial entirety of an exterior of the pack.
TOE PORTION FOR A SPRINT SHOE
A track and field shoe can include an upper, a sole structure, and a toe plate. The upper includes a medial side portion, a lateral side portion, and a toe box portion. The sole structure is attached to the upper and includes a spike plate. The spike plate has an anterior portion, a posterior portion, and a plurality of spikes. The spikes are configured for penetrating a track surface. The toe plate is attached to an anterior portion of the toe box portion of the upper. One or more portions of the toe plate are exposed from an exterior surface of the upper. The spikes are spaced apart from the toe plate such that the spikes disengage the track surface when the toe plate contacts the track surface.
SHOE UPPER AND SHOE INCLUDING THE SHOE UPPER
A shoe upper of a shoe includes first and second shoe upper sections together surrounding a foot, while covering a tiptoe and a heel of the foot, and a protector provided on part of an outer surface of the second shoe upper section and made of a single type of abrasion resistant resin material. The protector includes a tiptoe protector arranged to correspond to a tiptoe portion of the second shoe upper section, and a medial region protector provided on a medial region, of the second shoe upper section, extending from a backend of the tiptoe protector to a portion of the midfoot. The medial region protector has a deformable portion which has a mesh structure and is more deformable than the tiptoe protector, and a plurality of reinforcement ribs which divide the deformable portion into a plurality of regions.
