A velocity sport boot system/velocity sport board for performing all-weather snowboarding activity. The velocity sport boot/board system includes a velocity sport boot assembly that provides a method of practicing snowboarding on a treadmill. The velocity sport boot assembly includes a boot liner, a boot body, and a plurality of ball bearing assemblies. The plurality of ball bearing assemblies further includes shock absorbing springs for user comfort on varying surfaces. An alternative embodiment of the velocity sport boot/board system uses a common snowboarding type boot affixed to a sport board assembly that includes a sport board base, coupling straps, and a plurality of ball bearing assemblies.

A golf shoe sole with a pattern configured for outward, one-way rotation includes a pattern with a rotation point pattern. The rotation point pattern includes a center point tread or center cone spike, whereby the golf shoe is configured to rotate about the center point tread of the rotational pattern. The pattern can also include more than one one-way rotation patterns. Each of the one-way rotation patterns include a plurality of one-way guide blades and more than one row of parallel outward one-way rotation guide blades. The pattern can also include one or more circle blades encircling the center cone spike. The one way guide blades contain a slide side that gradually protrudes from the sole on the outward side of the blade and has a tall barb to grip the ground on the inside or stop side of the sole. The heal middle part of the sole is populated with a cone spike or center point tread surrounded by circle blades roughly the same height and mostly square on the top or ground side of the blade. The middle to front part of the sole contains the one-way rotational blades that allow the sole to slide along the ground to one direction but the grip and be stable in all other directions.

A shoe for preventing ankle injuries comprises a sole with a ground-engaging surface, and lateral and medial edges associated with respective lateral and medial connecting portions interconnecting and extending between the ground-engaging surface and the lateral and medial edges. At least one of the connecting portions defines a surface area of reduced friction provided, e.g., in the form of retrofitted patches, which are circumferentially surrounded by adjacent surface areas having a relatively high coefficient of friction. Friction is differentiated in different areas of those parts of the shoe which are implicated in injury mechanisms, and injuries may thus be prevented in the recovery phase after injury, and primary prophylaxis may be achieved. The area of reduced friction reduces the ability of the wearer's foot to rotate relative to ground when the load of the wearer's body is shifted towards or lands near the edge of the shoe.

This arrangement enables the wearer to participate more fully in exercises and/or dances that require the foot to not only slide and/or glide along the dance floor or exercise surface along the shoe bottom, but also along the shoe heel, toe and side.

A device configured for use within a dedicated footwear is provided comprising a wheel housing, a removable wheel cover, and a deployable wheel member for multi-dimensional functionality of the footwear. The wheel housing may reside within the heel portion of the sole of the footwear. The removable wheel cover may cover the wheel housing within the heel portion of the dedicated footwear, so that a user may optionally cover the wheel housing when wearing the footwear without the wheel functionality. In addition, the removable wheel cover may optionally be removed from the wheel housing, so that the user may insert the deployable wheel member within the wheel housing, so that the dedicated footwear provides rolling functionality. A user may easily remove the deployable wheel member from the wheel housing to cover the wheel housing with the removable wheel cover and return the footwear to traditional use without the rolling functionality.
