A duty belt includes a belt and a buckle. A first fixed belt end is rigidly secured to the belt, and a second free belt end having longitudinally-distributed recesses is releasably engaged with at least one rigid buckle pin via at least one recess in the closed state of the duty belt. In the closed state, the free end is guided through a buckle opening and overlaps with the fixed end. The buckle has two perpendicularly and longitudinally offset buckle plates such that a connection element with precisely one opening for passing through the belt is between the two plates. The first plate inner face has a securing device securing the fixed end to the buckle while the second plate inner face has the at least one rigid pin so that one plate is constantly visible from outside in the closed state regardless of which belt side lies outside.

A wristband assembly is provided having a strap assembly with a first strap and a second strap. Each strap has a plurality of apertures arranged thereon such that the apertures on each strap align, allowing for prongs of a clasp member to pass through and connect each strap. The clasp member has an upper lateral bar disposed at an offset position above a lower lateral bar, whereby the upper lateral bar acts as a snag-guard. Each prong has a first lip and a second lip, both of which are slightly larger than the corresponding apertures through which the prongs pass through, allowing each lip to hold a strap in place when engaged with the clasp member. When the two straps are connected via the clasp member, the clasp member acts as a snag-guard to the first strap and simultaneously as the sole means of connection between the two straps forming a wristband.

A belt has a strap defining a fixed end and a loose end and a buckle engaging the strap. The buckle has a frame defining a channel between outer and inner portions thereof and the outer portion extends beyond the lower portion. A prong protrudes from an undersurface of the outer portion into the channel to engage one of a series of holes of the loose end of the strap passing through the channel. The buckle also has a separable chape connecting the fixed end of the strap and which fits through a rear entrance of the channel to releasably connect to the inner portion of the frame.
