Harness system with a buckle restraining function

A harness system includes an upper buckle, an upper strap and a restraining assembly including an anti-sliding structure and a beam structure. A through slot is formed on the upper buckle. The upper strap passes through the through slot. The beam structure is slidably disposed on the upper buckle. The anti-sliding structure is disposed on at least one of the beam structure and a wall of the through slot. The upper strap is engaged by the anti-sliding structure for restraining a sliding movement of the upper buckle relative to the upper strap and toward a shoulder portion when the upper strap is forced to drive the beam structure to slide relative to the upper buckle and toward the wall of the through slot.

A chinstrap harness for a safety helmet, the chinstrap harness comprising first and second elongate side sections of flexible material (12a, 12b, 12c), each side section having a first end and an opposing second end, wherein said first end comprises means (3a, 3b) to connect said chinstrap harness to a safety helmet, and the opposing second end of each side section includes means (1) for releasably coupling said side sections adjacent a user's face. In use, said first side section (12b, 12c) incorporating along its length, and intermediate its first and second ends, a safety device (10) coupled across a break in said second side section (12b, 12c), said safety device (10) being selectively configurable between a first configuration, in which said safety device is free to release when a tensile force applied to said chinstrap harness exceeds a first predetermined threshold, and a second configuration, in which it can sustain, without releasing, a tensile force of at least a second predetermined threshold, said second predetermined threshold being greater than said first predetermined threshold.

BUCKLE

A buckle (100) includes a male buckle (110), a female buckle (120), and an actuating structure (130) disposed between the male buckle (110) and the female buckle (120). When the male buckle (110) and the female buckle (120) are engaged, the actuating structure (130) generates an actuating signal. When the male buckle (110) and the female buckle (120) are disengaged, the actuating structure (130) generates a disconnecting signal. A control circuit operates according to the actuating signal or the disconnecting signal, such that the control circuit is actuated more conveniently and the structure of the buckle (100) is simple.

ELECTRICALLY RELEASABLE BUCKLE ASSEMBLY FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE RESTRAINT

An electrically releasable buckle assembly (12) for a motor vehicle restraint (10) may include latch components (18) configured to releasably engage a tongue member (14B) of the motor vehicle restraint (10), a release button (16) operatively coupled to the latch components (18), the release button (16) having a latched position in which the latching components engage the tongue member (14B) and a release position in which the latch components (18) release the tongue member (14B), an electrical energy source (32), at least one shape memory alloy component (26) operatively coupled to the release button (16), the at least one shape memory alloy component (26) responsive to heating thereof by electrical energy supplied by the source (32) to a temperature at or above a transition temperature thereof to move the release button (16) from the latched position to the release position, and means (34) for selectively supplying electrical energy from the electrical energy source (32) to the at least one shape memory alloy component (26).

Buckle Assembly

A buckle assembly includes a first frame member defining a first slot, which includes a first open end positioned at a first side of the first frame member and which includes a first closed end positioned spaced apart from a second side of the first frame member. The buckle assembly further includes a second frame member defining a second slot, which includes a second open end positioned at a second side of the second frame member and a second closed end positioned spaced apart from a first side of the second frame member, wherein the second frame member is positioned in overlying relationship to the first frame member. The buckle assembly further includes a third frame member is configured to position within a recess defined within the second frame member.

LOCKING MECHANISM WITH MULTIPLE STAGE LOCKING VERIFICATION
20170332742 · 2017-11-23 ·

A system and method for a locking mechanism that includes an ability to indicate proper engagement via a signal cable coupled through a harness. The locking mechanism may include electronic components including three magnetic actuators and corresponding electronic switches that signal change of state. Locking tabs and a leading edge of the insert respectively include the three magnetic actuators. The electronic switches, which may be magnetically activated reed switches, signal status change to an external controller and, optionally, an external computer. Further, status signals and power signals may be routed through a steel cable or woven nylon harness that coupled the locking mechanism to a local anchor point. Change of status notification may be important on critical safety worksites where lack of mechanical and electronic connection can be life threatening.

Anti-pinch buckle assembly

A buckle assembly includes a buckle member that is configured to removably connect to a reciprocal buckle member. A retaining guard couples to the buckle member. The retaining guard is configured to reduce a potential of pinching as the buckle member connects to and disconnects from the reciprocal buckle member by providing a barrier where the buckle member and reciprocal buckle member connect.

Safety belt device in a vehicle

A belt fitting for a safety belt device in a vehicle that includes a base segment and an insertion tongue connected thereto, in which base segment a belt eye is provided, through which a belt webbing is guided and divides the belt webbing into a shoulder belt segment and a lap belt segment when the safety belt is worn. The belt fitting has a clamping element movable between a release position, such that the belt webbing is freely movable in sliding contact over at least one belt running surface, and a clamping position, in which the belt webbing is tightly clamped between a clamping stop on the base segment and the clamping element in the event of a load or crash. The belt running surface of the belt fitting has a surface contour, which ensures stable transverse guidance of the belt webbing in the event of a load.

AIRBAG ACTUATOR MOUNTED IN A CUSTOM BUCKLE FOR PERSONAL IMPACT PROTECTION SYSTEMS

A protective device includes an airbag assembly configured to extend at least partially around a waist or hips of an individual; a buckle attached to the airbag assembly, the buckle comprising a first buckle half, and a second buckle half, the first and second buckle halves being attachable to and detachable from one another; and an airbag actuator configured to actuate the airbag assembly.
