An article of clothing in the form of a belt includes: a cord having a proximal end and a distal end; and an eyelet having an opening and a locking feature; wherein the proximal end of the cord is looped around the eyelet; the distal end of the cord is configured to pass through the opening, wherein the cord and the eyelet combine to form a continuous closed loop when the distal end of the cord is passed through the opening; and the locking feature is structured and arranged to selectively lock and unlock movement of the cord through the opening.

The hook and loop rope of the present invention is configured to facilitate tying objects down without requiring a user to tie a knot in the rope. Instead, the user need only loop the rope through a tiedown (or structural equivalent) prior to engaging hooks of a first portion of the rope with loops of a second portion of the rope. In the rolled configuration, a plurality of hooks associated with a hook side of the rope engage with a plurality of loops associated with a loop side of the rope, thereby retaining the rope in the rolled configuration. An assembly for axial fixation of at least one element having an opening formed therein to an article. The assembly includes an anchoring protrusion attached to the article, which includes a distal end and a neck portion, and at least one locking component having a bore disposed therein, the locking component having at least a portion which is at least one of flexible and elastic. The anchoring protrusion extends through the opening in the element and through the bore of the locking component. An overlap region between the opening of the element and the bore of the locking component, is substantially equal to the diameter of the neck portion, such that the element and the at least a portion of the locking component form a locking unit.
