Securing system for footwear

A cap for capping an upper surface of a shoe a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The first layer has an outer surface that has a coefficient of friction that is greater than that of the upper surface of the shoe that the cap caps. The second layer is an adhesive layer. The third layer is a release layer that can be peeled off the adhesive layer to expose it, thereby enabling the adhesive layer to stick to the shoe.

Touch fastener part

A touch fastener part has a first substrate tape (10) with hooking elements (12) arranged on one side and has a second substrate tape (16) connected to the first substrate tape (10). The second substrate tape (10) has a connectors (20) on its side facing away from the hooking elements (12) and is wider than the first substrate tape (10). At least one free lateral edge area (22) of the second substrate tape (16) projects beyond the adjacent longitudinal edge of the first substrate tape (10). The two substrate tapes (10, 16) can be bent along and transversely to their longitudinal orientation by at least one free side edge area (22) of the second substrate tape (16) being provided with a weakening of resistance (27) in such a way that bending the two substrate tapes (10, 16) transversely to their longitudinal orientation is facilitated.

Systems and methods are disclosed for fasteners bonded to substrate materials without puncturing the materials. An example fastening system includes a male fastener component and a female fastener. The example male fastener component includes a base plate bonded to a first substrate material without puncturing the first substrate material, and a post integrally formed with the base plate, the base plate and the post formed of a polyurethane material. The example female fastener component includes a housing defining a cavity configured to engage with the post of the male fastener component. The housing is made of the polyurethane material and bonded to a second substrate material without puncturing the second substrate material.

Method for producing a connecting part using an injection foam molding process

A method for producing a connecting part (28) uses an injection foam molding process. In a first step, a fastening part with adhesive and/or hooking elements (18), forming a component of a contact fastener, is produced and introduced into an injection mold (2) as an insert part (16). A support part (26) is formed in the mold in a second step using a foamed synthetic material (22). The support part is connected to the insert part to form the connecting part (28).

Mold-in touch fastening product

A male touch fastener strip includes an elongated base and a field of male fastener elements each having a stem extending from a broad face of the base and a head for engaging fibers. The fastener element stems and broad face of the base together form a unitary mass of resin, such as a resin containing a magnetically attractable substance. Wings extend from respective longitudinal edges of the base and define discrete corrugations extending in a series along the fastener strip and forming corresponding undulations in the rear face of the strip along its longitudinal edges. The corrugated wings can also support a foam gasket.
