RECLOSABLE FASTENER WITH INACTIVE REGIONS
At least one aspect of the present disclosure features a reclosable fastener for use on a non-woven article having a first part and a second part. The reclosable fastener includes a first fastener component, a second fastener component, and an adhesive layer attaching the second fastener component to the second part of the non-woven article. The first fastener component has first fastening elements. The first fastener component is attached to or integrated with the first part of the non-woven article. The second fastener component includes second fastening elements configured to engage with first fastening elements. The second fastener component includes one or more inactive regions. The second fastening elements within an in-active region are substantially deactivated.
Adhesive closure system
A touch fastener system has two interconnectable and detachable touch fastener parts (4), each of which has a plurality of fastening elements (6) projecting from a carrier. The fastening elements (6) can be brought into detachable engagement with each other opposite from each other in a predeterminable connection area. The fastening elements (6) of the one type of a touch fastener part (4) within the connection area receive the fastening elements (20) of the other type between them forming strips (22, 24). One of the touch fastener parts (4) has fastening elements (6) of only one type, which, when engaged within the connection area, are connected to fastening elements (6) of this type and to fastening elements (20) of a further type of the respective other touch fastener part (4).

A touch fastener system, consisting of two interconnectable and detachable touch fastener parts (4), each of which has a plurality of fastening elements (6) projecting from a carrier, which fastening elements (6) can be brought into detachable engagement with each other opposite from each other in a predeterminable connection area, wherein the fastening elements (6) of the one type of a touch fastener part (4) within the connection area receive the fastening elements (20) of the other type between them forming strips (22, 24), is characterized in that one of the touch fastener parts (4) has fastening elements (6) of only one type, which, when engaged within the connection area, are connected to fastening elements (6) of this type and to fastening elements (20) of a further type of the respective other touch fastener part (4).
Self-Sealing Closure System and Method
The self-sealing closure system includes a flexible, overlapping, interlocking closure with a continuous backing membrane to provide a secure, durable, and redundantly impermeable barrier operated by finger pressure or by an optional easy-to-operate, zipper-like cursor, with an optional locking end cap.
MAKING SOFT FABRIC TOUCH FASTENERS
Methods of making a male touch fastener product, by shearing distal portions of loops extending from a side of a flexible fabric, leaving fibers extending from the side of the flexible fabric in place of the sheared loops, the fibers extending to respective free distal ends, while leaving other loops extending from the side of the fabric intact, and then heating the distal ends with energy supplied by a linear energy source, such that resin of the distal ends flows to form enlarged heads on the extending fibers, while leaving at least some of the other loops intact. A male touch fastener product has a flexible fabric base with a broad side, and fibers extending from the broad side of the base. The fibers form both loops of fibers, each loop extending from the base at two spaced-apart points, and fiber segments extending from the base to respective distal fiber ends spaced from the base. Each distal fiber end forms an enlarged head of fiber resin for snagging other fibers.
Laminated touch fasteners
A method of making a laminated touch fastener includes introducing a flexible substrate to a resin applicator, applying flowable resin to a limited region of a surface of the substrate, and molding the applied resin to form a plurality of defined structures extending from a layer of the applied resin. The substrate surface, as the substrate is introduced to the resin applicator, has a surface characteristic that varies across the surface. The surface includes both a first region and a second region adjacent the first region, the surface characteristic varying to a greater degree within the second region than within the first region. The flowable resin may be applied within the first region such that an edge of the resin layer is disposed within, and adjacent an exposed portion of, the first region of the substrate surface.
Reclosable fastener with inactive regions

The reclosable fastener includes a first fastener component, a second fastener component, and an adhesive layer attaching the second fastener component to the second part of the non-woven article. The first fastener component has first fastening elements. The first fastener component is attached to or integrated with the first part of the non-woven article. The second fastener component includes second fastening elements configured to engage with first fastening elements. The second fastener component includes one or more inactive regions. The second fastening elements within an inactive region are substantially deactivated.
Hook-and-loop fastener provided with hollow woven part
A hook-and-loop fastener including a base cloth composed of warps, a weft, and engaging element yarns and engaging elements formed of the engaging element yarns and provided on a surface of the base cloth. The hook-and-loop fastener includes a hollow woven part satisfying at least four specific requirements.
CARRIER FOR THE STORAGE, DISTRIBUTION AND RE-USE OF A PLURALITY OF HOOK AND LOOP FASTENERS
This invention relates generally to carriers for carrying a plurality of hook and loop fasteners. More specifically, the invention relates to carriers for carrying a plurality of hook and loop fasteners that define hooks on at least a portion of one side of the fastener and loops on at least a portion of the other.
FLAME-RESISTANT FINISH OR COATING
A flame-resistant finish is adapted for a closure piece to form a detachable closure. The closure piece has a flat basic fabric (14) of warp threads (10), and weft threads (12). Functional elements (18) protrude on the front side of the basic fabric (14). The basic fabric (14) is provided with the flame-resistant finish. The fabric (14) and the functional elements (18) are predominantly, preferably entirely, made of flame-resistant plastic materials.
