An anti-pinch zipper includes two zipper tapes and a zipper slider. The inner side of the chain cloth of each zipper tape is folded back to the front to form a chain belt portion and a sliding space. The zipper slider has a top plate that holds the pull tab and is provided with a structure to guide the two rows of teeth of the zipper tapes to be interlocked with each other. The rows of teeth and the chain belt portions are passed through the zipper slider, so that the top plate and the pull tab are located on the front of the zipper, and the two chain cloths cover the back of the zipper slider.

A locking assembly includes a slider comprising a follower, a rail slidably engaged to the follower, the rail comprising a plurality of rigid sections having a cross-sectional perimeter and at least one collapsible section connecting the rigid sections, the at least one collapsible section movable between a first state in which the collapsible section has a first length and a first cross-sectional perimeter that does not project beyond the perimeter of the plurality of rigid sections and a second state having a second length less than the first length and a second perimeter that projects beyond the perimeter of the plurality of rigid sections.

A protective enclosure for a zipper of an article. The zipper enclosure may include an enclosure base that is attachable to the article, such as a mattress cover or padding materials for use with a bedding/furniture cover. The enclosure base may be configured to receive a one or more components of the zipper, such as the zipper slider and pull tab, upon closing of the zipper. When the zipper is closed, the enclosure base may be enclosed by an enclosure cover to contain and/or prevent migration of particles and/or organisms, such as bed bugs, allergens, dust mites, small particles and the like, from the article through an opening in the zipper chain adjacent the slider head. The enclosure may include one or more barriers for preventing migration of small particles and/or organisms past obstructions formed by the barriers.

A locking zipper pull is described wherein the zipper pull is locked when the pull's lever(s) are locked in a first position and can be unlocked by moving the lever(s) into a second position to allow the zipper pull to be slid along an associated zipper chain.

A slider for a slide fastener is disclosed having a slider body and a pull tab wherein: the slider body includes a pull tab retainer having a first side wall and a second side wall with respective recesses for accommodation of the ring of the pull tab, and each recess has a tongue which is inwardly extended to provide a contact surface for the ring, and each tongue joins with the respective side wall with a rounded edge.

A device releasably attachable to a zippered compartment so as to secure the compartment against unauthorized access is disclosed. The device includes an anchor for mounting the device to the zippered compartment, and a releasable lock for engaging the body of a slider head of the zippered compartment. The anchor includes a clamp, clip, and contact surfaces so as to engage a portion of the zippered closure of the zippered compartment. The releasable lock includes a latch that releasably engages the body of a standard slider head of the zippered closure. When the device is removed from the zippered compartment, the zippered closure is left in its original, unmodified condition.
