A case with a positionable shelf. The case has a bottom with bottom sides and a top with top sides that together in a closed position enclose a space therebetween. The positionable shelf is in the case bottom and has a shelf support system. The shelf support system has a pair of supports rotatably connected at opposite ends to the shelf and the bottom sides of the case. The pair of supports have at least two spaced apart legs with each including a tensioner connected with and between the legs. The positonable shelf is movable from (i) a collapsed position fully contained within the case bottom and with the tensioner in an extended condition to (ii) an extended position located outside of the case bottom and with the tensioner in a retracted condition.

A case for a portable electronic device (PED) is disclosed. The case includes a body having an interior surface configured to accept a PED and an exterior surface to be exposed to outside forces. A back vent that permits the transfer heat away from the PED and to the environment presents through the body of the case. A cushioning member is placed at or near the back vent on the interior surface of the case and may substantially or completely surround the back vent. When a PED is placed within the case, the fit of the PED and the case causes the cushioning member to press against the PED in order to create a cushion for the PED in the event of an outside force being applied to the case. The case may include a screen protector within a frame that attaches to the body.

This invention discloses a tablet computer protective case with multiple folding ways including a back casing and a front cover; the front cover is divided into a plurality of connecting sections; each of the sections has a connecting portion which is foldable; a limiting groove is formed at the connecting portion between two sections; a plurality of the sections are each disposed with one or more magnets therein; the back casing is provided with magnets at edges thereof for engaging with the magnets of the front cover. This invention has the following beneficial effects: It can achieve multiple application modes by means of simple geometric folding and alignment of magnets without complicated mechanical structures or components like rotating shafts, thereby significantly reducing product weight and costs.

A mobile device case apparatus and method are provided that include a frame, a stand, at least one magnet, and rubber coating over the at least one magnet. The frame and stand can be 3D-printed. The frame is configured to secure a mobile device into the frame. The frame includes at least one magnet. The bottom of the stand can have a rubber coating to prevent the case from slipping when the case adheres to a metal. The stand is configured to support the weight of the apparatus and prop the mobile device up for viewing. The stand can also be configured to be a receive a mechanical element of a vehicle such as a wheelchair.

Carrying cases used to transport and elevate laptop computers are disclosed. The carrying cases include a laptop tray elevating device including a laptop tray to support the laptop computer and a laptop tray elevating member. A hook member is coupled to the laptop tray to prevent the laptop computer from sliding off the laptop tray when elevated. The laptop tray elevating member includes a plurality of folding panels, a webbing, and a webbing gripping member. The webbing is pulled to displace one or more of the folding panels against the laptop tray and to orient one or more of the folding panels vertically to elevate the laptop tray at an angle. The webbing gripping member can selectively grip and release the webbing.

Embodiments of an apparatus and system are described for a hybrid computing device. Some embodiments may comprise a computing device having an enclosure arranged to support a display on a front of the enclosure and a cover mechanically coupled to a side of the enclosure, the cover comprising a first portion having at least one integrated input device and a second portion having at least one flexible seam arranged to allow the second portion to adjustably pivot around the seam. A quick release support system for a case for a portable device is provided. In one embodiment, for example, the quick release system comprises a case and a bracket. The case comprises a ramp, a ramp engagement surface disposed at a proximal edge of the ramp, at least one tab guide displaced from the ramp engagement surface, and a latch lock port. The at least one tab guide and the latch lock port is defined by the case. The bracket comprises a ramp tab extending from the bracket in a first direction the ramp tab adapted to engage the ramp engagement surface of the case. The bracket also comprises at least one tab and a latch lock. The at least one tab extends from the bracket in the first direction, and the at least one tab is adapted to extend into the at least one tab guide. A latch lock of the bracket comprises a latch lock engagement surface and a latch surface. The latch lock engagement surface is biased in a second direction. The latch surface is adapted to overcome the bias in a direction opposite the second direction to overcome the bias force and allow insertion of the latch lock engagement surface into the latch lock port and to be released by the bias force to engage the latch lock engagement surface with the latch lock port.

A method includes providing a main frame configured to be attached to a surface associated with a portable electronic device, and providing a grip element. The method also includes forming a grip device based on receiving one or more slide element(s) of the grip element through a channel of the main frame, and enabling portrait and landscape orientation based operations associated with the portable electronic device through the attachment of the formed grip device to the portable electronic device.
