Color conversion system and method
A method is provided for preparing a hair dye color mixture. The method includes: accessing a control system having at least a processor, a memory, and user input controls, the memory configured to store ingredients of a hair dye color mixture, receiving user input from the user input controls to change one or more ingredients of the hair dye color mixture to a new product brand; matching the color of the hair dye color mixture using one or more ingredients of the new product brand, in response to the user input; and displaying the ingredients of the hair dye color mixture in the new product brand on a display.
HEATED HAIR SETTER APPARATUS AND METHOD
In a hair setter apparatus, a heater assembly is enclosed within a housing. The heater assembly has a longitudinal heat delivery rail mounted in the housing and having a longitudinal axis. The longitudinal heat delivery rail includes a groove extending longitudinally along at least part of the heat delivery rail. A corresponding hair setter has a central body having opposing web plates spaced from each other to define a mounting slot extending longitudinally of the hair setter. The mounting slot is configured to engage the groove of the heat delivery rail upon mounting the hair setter thereon to slidably couple the hair setter to the heat delivery rail for sliding movement longitudinally of heat delivery rail while inhibiting decoupling of the hair setter from the heat delivery rail in a direction transverse to the rail.
Hair Styling Device Imparting an Updo Hairstyle When Worn and a Different Curled or Straightened Hairstyle When Removed
A hair styling device features a headband worn along a hairline of a user's head and spanning around a crown thereof, an ornamental appearance displayed on a front portion of the headband across the forehead along a front hairline, and a flexible hair roller at a rear portion of the headband to create an updo hairstyle at a rear hairline across the back of the user's head. The ornamental appearance of the front portion and the updo hairstyle cooperatively impart a stylistic effect around the crown of the user's head when worn, while a wound state of the hair around the rear portion imparts a styling action that leaves behind a different hairstyle effect when the headband is removed. The styling action may impart a straightening effect on naturally curly hair, or a curling effect on naturally straight hair.
HAIR CURLER
A hair curler includes: a body unit having an electric circuit; a heating unit connectedly fixed to one end portion of the body unit and allowing hair to be wound around on an outer circumferential surface thereof; a rotation unit rotatably provided on one end portion of the heating unit so as to rotate in the circumferential direction of the heating unit, and having one side extendedly formed in the lengthwise direction of the heating unit so as to rotate around the circumference of the heating unit; a hair holding unit attached movably to the extendedly formed one side of the rotation unit in the lengthwise direction of the heating unit, and accommodating the hair wound around the heating unit; and moving means for moving the hair holding unit in the lengthwise direction of the heating unit, such that the hair is spirally wound around the heating unit.
Heat-retaining clips for creating textured waves in hair
A heat-retaining clip assembly is provided. The heat-retaining clip assembly includes a convex surface nested in a concave surface in a closed position, wherein the convex and concave surfaces are pivotably connected to move between the closed position and an open position. The convex surface has a higher thermal conductivity than the concave surface. The present invention includes a system providing an arcuate heating element that can be sandwiched between the convex and concave surfaces in the closed position, while the convex surface conducts most of the heat. Then the heat-retaining clip assembly may be moved in the open position from the heating element to a user's hair so that the heat stored in the convex surface transfers to the hair to form textured waves in the hair after the clip is moved back to the closed position.
Heat enhanced hair-setting tool
A hair-setting tool for setting hair styles is specifically configured to exhibit an improved hair-setting effect with the aid of heat. The heat-enhanced hair-setting tool of the present invention includes one or more heating components in or on the main body of the hair-setting tool. The heat required for setting hair may be provided by the heating components and/or by heating or re-heating the hair-setting tool to activate the heating components.
HAIR STYLING APPLIANCE FOR CURLING HAIR WITH AN INCLINED BARREL AND WINDER
A hair styling appliance for curling hair, includes a gripping handle along a first axis and a housing having a winding chamber defining a second axis an introduction slot and an extraction opening. The first and second axes form a plane. A barrel has fixed and free ends disposed close to the extraction opening and extends in the winding chamber along a third axis in the plane. The third axis is inclined at an angle with respect to the first axis such that the free end is farther away from the gripping handle than the fixed end. A hollow winder is arranged around and coaxially with the barrel. The winder is mounted to rotate about the third axis and to successively grasp the proximal end of the lock, concomitantly wind the lock about the barrel and the winder, and then completely wind the lock around the barrel, as it rotates.
HAIR STYLING DEVICE
There is provided a hair styling device having a body defining a chamber adapted to accommodate a length of hair, the chamber having a primary opening through which the length of hair may pass. The device also has a rotatable element adapted to engage the length of hair adjacent to the primary opening, and an elongate member around which, in use, the length of hair is wound by the rotatable element. The device has at least one sensor adapted to detect misplaced hair. The sensor can be connected to a control system for the rotatable element whereby rotation of the rotatable element can be prevented when misplaced hair is detected by the sensor.
Hair styling device
This invention relates to a hair styling device having a body defining a chamber adapted to accommodate a length of hair, the length of hair being styled while it is located within the chamber. The chamber has a primary opening through which the length of hair may pass into the chamber. An elongate member is located within the chamber. A rotatable element is provided which is adapted to engage the length of hair adjacent to the primary opening and to apply a force to the length of hair to wind the length of hair around the elongate member. The rotation of the rotatable element is controlled by a control system which includes means to detect the force applied to the length of hair. In the event of hair entanglement the force applied to the length of hair increases and if the force detected by the control system exceeds a predetermined threshold the rotation of the rotatable element is stopped and can be reversed so as to relieve the tension and allow the length of hair to be removed from the device.
