CORDLESS HAIR TOOLS
A product line of battery-powered, cordless blow-dryers, curling irons, flat-irons, and hair-clippers to eliminate the frustration, limitations, and accidental mishaps associated with easily tangled power cords, while providing premium-quality styling tools featuring removable batteries which are easily charged in the provided charging base to provide the utmost in convenience to both professional stylist's and barbers, and consumer households.
Hair styling device
A shoulder assembly for connecting two arms of a hair styling apparatus, the shoulder assembly comprising: a housing; a first coupling member which is attached to the housing and which projects from the housing to couple the housing to a first arm; a second coupling member which is attached to the housing and which projects from the housing to couple the housing to a second arm; wherein both the first and second coupling members are flexible so that the first arm is movable relative to the second arm when the shoulder assembly is connected to the first and second arms.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANIPULATING THE SHAPE OF HAIR
An apparatus manipulates the shape of hair using dielectric heating. Typically, the apparatus includes opposing first and second electrodes respectively provided on first and second arms that are movable towards and away from one another. Drive circuitry supplies electrical energy to the first and second electrodes, to cause an alternating electric field to be produced in the vicinity of the electrodes in use, and thereby cause dielectric heating of hair placed between the electrodes in use. Sensing circuitry senses a change in coupling of energy from the alternating electric field to the hair during heating of the hair. Control circuitry controls the drive circuitry to vary the electrical energy supplied to the first and second electrodes in dependence upon the sensed change in coupling. A related method manipulates the shape of hair using dielectric heating.
ATTACHMENT FOR A HAND HELD APPLIANCE
An attachment for a hair care appliance includes a body having a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, a fluid flow path extending between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet, a first vane and a second vane for directing fluid within the fluid flow path towards the fluid outlet wherein the body comprises at least two extended plates and the fluid outlet comprises a slot defined by an overlap between the at least two extended plates wherein the first vane and the second vane are curved and positioned within the overlap between the at least two extended plates wherein the first vane and the second vanes curve in opposite directions. The fluid inlet may have a first cross sectional area, the body includes an outer wall that has a second cross sectional area, and wherein the second cross sectional area is greater than the first cross sectional area.
ATTACHMENT FOR A HAND HELD APPLIANCE
An attachment for a hair care appliance includes a body having a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, a fluid flow path extending between the inlet and outlet and at least one vane for directing fluid within the fluid flow path towards the fluid outlet, wherein the body includes at least two extended plates and the fluid outlet includes a slot defined by an overlap between the at least two extended plates, and wherein the at least one vane is positioned within the overlap between the at least two extended plates. The body may be elongate, may have a first end including the fluid inlet, and may extend along an axis. The fluid outlet may extend along the axis between the first end and a second end. The at least one vane may direct fluid flowing in the fluid flow path from a first direction to a second direction.
ATTACHMENT FOR A HAND HELD APPLIANCE
An attachment for a hair care appliance includes an elongate body having a first end and a second end, a fluid inlet at the first end, a fluid outlet and a fluid flow path extending between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet wherein the diameter at the first end is larger than the diameter at the second end and the fluid outlet extends from the first end to the second end. The elongate body may converge from the first end towards the second end. The elongate body may gradually reduce in diameter from the first end. The reduction in diameter may extend along a portion of the elongate body. There may be a gradual transition from the diameter at the first end to the diameter at the second end.
Hair styling appliance
A hair styling appliance for dual supply voltage operation is described comprising a body having at least one arm bearing a hair styling heater (560), wherein the hair styling heater comprises one or more heater electrodes (630,632,634,636) for heating the hair styling heater. A first power input is connectable to a battery power source (564) and a second power input is connectable to a mains powered source (561). The first power input and the second power input are each coupled to at least one of the one or more heater electrodes. Such a hair styling appliance is useable for styling when coupled to the mains powered source and when coupled to the battery power source increasing the versatility of the appliance.
Rechargeable hair styling tool
A rechargeable hair styling tool may be plugged into an electrical outlet to enable charging of each battery and operation of the hair styling tool. Electronics of the hair styling tool may enable it to alternately operate under power from the battery or batteries (i.e., stored power) while the hair styling tool is unplugged from an electrical outlet (e.g., a wall socket, etc.) and under power of an external source of electricity while the hair styling tool is plugged into the electrical outlet. Each heating element of such a rechargeable hair styling tool may be heated when the hair styling tool is plugged in and, once each heating element has been heated to a sufficient temperature, continue to function under power supplied by the battery or batteries of the rechargeable hair styling tool.
HAIR STYLING APPLIANCE
A hair straightening apparatus having two arms pivotably coupled together and arranged to receive hair within a cavity formed between them is disclosed. A plenum in at least one arm includes an air inlet for receiving airflow from a fan unit and an air outlet for emitting airflow towards hair within the cavity. The air outlet extends along the inner wall of at least one of the first arm and the second arm and is adapted to direct airflow towards a lower edge of the arms.
FLAT IRON CONTROLLER
The flat iron controller is an item of hairdressing equipment. The flat iron and the personal data device are defined elsewhere in this disclosure. The flat iron controller incorporates a flat iron and a personal data device. The personal data device controls the operation of the flat iron. Specifically, the personal data device: a) initiates the operation of the flat iron; and, b) sets the operating temperature of the flat iron.
