Systems and Methods for Releasing Braids
Portable braid releasing devices and methods for the use thereof. The devices and methods disclosed herein may be suitable for releasing, loosening, or undoing hair braids worn on the head of a user. In some embodiments, said devices may include a narrow body disposed between two ends, and a recessed portion disposed on a length of the body, wherein the two ends include a first end opposite a second end, and wherein at least one of the two ends is tapered. Methods for using said devices may include inserting the first or second of a device into a braid of a wearer, gliding the device toward the end of the braid, and repeating this motion until the braid is loosened and/or undone to a desired level.
Apparatus for Gripping Hair and Use Thereof
Disclosed is a gripping apparatus for use by a user to immobilize hair strands associated with tangled hair in order to decrease damage to the hair strands when detangling. The apparatus includes a first jaw rotatably connected to a second jaw. The first and second jaws have first and second plates, respectively, to engage the tangled hair. The first and second plates include ridges, that also define grooves, to increase the surface area of the plates. The first and second jaws can be rotated between an open position to receive hair strands and a closed position to immobilize hair strands. The ridges on the first jaw are offset from those on the second jaw so that, in the closed position, the ridges on the first jaw are received in the grooves of the second jaw and the ridges on the second jaw are received in the grooves of the first jaw.
HAIR ACCESSORY TAKE DOWN TOOL
A hair accessory takedown tool includes an elongated cane-shaped main body having a bottom end, a central section, a curved section, and a second end. A first triangular-shaped engagement member having a sharpened tip extends from the bottom end of the main body; and a second triangular-shaped engagement member having a bulbous tip extends downward from the second end of the main body. A plurality of metallic teeth extend downward from the curved section of the main body in a parallel orientation to the central section. A finger indentation is positioned adjacent to the first engagement member, and a gripper is positioned along the central section at a location above the indentation.
Liquid dispensing comb
A liquid dispensing comb for untangling hair. The liquid dispensing comb includes a handle attached to a head, wherein the head is hollow and includes a shaft extending from the handle and a plurality of tines extending perpendicularly from the shaft. A plurality of apertures are included along the length of each tine so to allow liquid to pass therethrough. Further, each tine alternates in length so as to allow the comb to access varying depths of a portion of tangled hair. A bladder is disposed within the interior of the handle, wherein the bladder can store and selectively release liquid into the head of the comb. In use, the bladder is actuated or pressed, wherein liquid is forced outward therefrom, into the tines, and out through the apertures, such that the hair is wetted with water or untangling liquid as the user combs through tangled hair.
Scalp reliever
This invention is used for scratching the scalp with any hairstyle. It is a scalp reliever. It has two, three or four teeth that are flexible enough to get into areas of the scalp that cannot be reached while wearing pony tails with gelled hair that is laid down and/or glued/stuck in place, buns, pinned-up hair, cold waves, curls, salon styles, performance hairdos, braids, dregoodrawes, latch hooks, bantoo knots, afros, lace front wigs, secured hair styles, etc. This invention allows consumers to bend the teeth of the comb and get into hard to reach places beneath their hair whether their natural hair or hair that is attached to their scalp being sewn in or glued or even partial wigs. The device allows consumers to get relief from an itchy scalp. It also gets into places that are hard to reach. The device can be guided underneath stationary hair, since the teeth are bendable and flexible. One can also comb their hair with the device. It can also be used to take down braids or untangle hair. The invention is made out of fiberglass and plastic and is attached to a base that allows it to fit in your hand, cosmetic bag, purse, pocket, etc.
COMB
