A computing system may generate an output file to produce the customized artificial fingernails based on a set of images displaying top-down views of a set of fingernails of a user. A reference table may be used to predict the curvature factor of each of the user's fingernails to provide information for the system regarding the three-dimensional size and shape of the user's fingernail simply based on the two-dimensional top-down views of fingernails in the set of images. That may help the user to get customized artificial fingernails in an easy and convenient way without the burden to display the user's fingernails from multiple angles.

The processor detects a nail region based on an image obtained by photographing a finger or a toe, sets at least a part of the detected nail region as a preceding print setting region, detects a region on which the preceding print is printed as a succeeding print region based on an image obtained by photographing the finger or the toe on which the preceding print is printed, sets a succeeding print region reference point corresponding to the succeeding print region, or sets a preceding print setting region reference point corresponding to the preceding print setting region and the succeeding print region reference point, and causes the print head to print a succeeding print on the nail region based on information on the preceding print setting region and a reference point that is set.

A method for controlling a printer to print on a recording medium having a non-contact tag by a processor of the printer is provided. The method comprises placing the recording medium on a placement area of the printer; wireless reading, from the non-contact tag, a plurality of pieces of identification information each for identifying a specific image; detecting whether any one of a plurality operation buttons provided on the printer has been pressed by a user, wherein the pressed operation button is corresponding to one of plurality of pieces of identification information; acquiring, from a storage device provided in the printer, the specific image corresponding the one of plurality of pieces of identification information selected by the pressed operation button; and printing the specific image on the recording medium.
