ACTUATING NAIL FILE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
20220125178 · 2022-04-28 ·

The actuating nail file assembly includes a housing, a controller, a circuit board, a powertrain, a slider, a head, and a power supply. The assembly is configured to selectively induce actuation of the head in one or more directions. The head is configured to engage a nail of a user, such as fingernail or toenail, and work a surface or edge of the nail to a desired condition. The head may be configured to file the nail by containing an abrasive surface configured to removed portions of the nail. Alternatively, the head may be configured to polish the nail by containing a polishing surface texture. The controller regulates the operation of the powertrain. The powertrain selectively induces radial and linear movement of the head in a plurality of directions so as to repetitively alternate between at least two opposing directions.

Nail products, methods and kits for enhancing nails are disclosed. A tacky substance is applied to a nail followed by a nonwoven substrate. The nonwoven substrate is removed from the nail leaving a fiber residue on the nail. A nail coating such as nail polish is applied to the nail over the fiber residue. If any gaps between fibers in the fiber residue remain after the nail coating is applied, a further nail coating may be applied. A top coat may then be applied to provide for a final finish on the nail.

An infant nail trimming device may include a body which may form a finger aperture. The body may have a first end and a second end which may be separated by a recess. Preferably, the body may be made from a resilient material which may enable the first end and the second end to be moved towards and away from each other thereby decreasing and increasing the size of the finger aperture, respectively. A body shield may be coupled to the body, and an abrasive surface may be coupled to the body shield so that the abrasive surface and finger aperture are positioned on opposing sides of the body shield. The abrasive surface may have a width dimension (AW), the body may have a width dimension (BW), and the AW may be greater than the BW.

NAIL FILING ASSEMBLY
20180303218 · 2018-10-25 ·

Implementations described herein include adjustable nail filing assemblies capable of filing fingernails to a consistent length or shape. Such assemblies have a main body, an abrading member, and a finger bed. The main body extends along a housing longitudinal axis from a first end to an opposed second end. The first end includes an opening for receiving a finger bearing a fingernail. The abrading member is removably coupleable to the second end of the main body and includes a contoured abrasive surface. The finger bed for holding a finger is movably disposed in the main body. Movement of the finger bed relative to the abrading member files the nail to a predetermined length or shape. The finger bed is translatable along a predetermined pathway relative to the abrading member. The predetermined pathway includes an arc extending in a plane transverse or parallel to the housing longitudinal axis.
