EPILATION DEVICE MEASURING CONTACT FORCE AND COMPRISING A FEEDBACK UNIT
There is provided an epilation device for removing body hair with at least one epilation unit. In particular, an epilation barrel, having a plurality of pairs of tweezers for pinching and pulling out hairs from the skin. The epilation device further has a drive unit for driving the at least one epilation barrel and a control unit. The control unit is able to analyze the force with which the user presses the epilation unit to the skin resulting in contact pressure and compares the contact pressure applied to at least one threshold contact pressure. Optionally, the epilation device further has a feedback unit which signals to the user, whether the contact pressure applied is smaller than, equal to, or larger than the at least one threshold contact pressure.
EPILATING DEVICE
An epilating device for extracting hairs out of a user's skin, including hair-clamping elements that are arranged adjacent to each other and rotatable relative to a housing. A drive system rotates the hair-clamping elements which co-operate in pairs and are moveable relative to each other during rotation. On each side surface facing an adjacent hair-clamping element, there is a hair-clamping section and a hair-catching section. The hair-catching sections of adjacent hair-clamping elements define a funnel area, wherein the hair-catching sections converge towards each other for guiding hairs towards the hair-clamping sections. The hair-clamping sections of adjacent hair-clamping elements are movable relative to each other from an open position, where the hair-clamping sections are at a distance from each other, to a closed position, where the hair-clamping sections are in mutual clamping engagement in a hair-clamping area.
Personal care device with pivotable treatment head
This disclosure is concerned with a personal care device with a treatment head being pivot-mounted around a pivot axis, the personal care device having a pin having a pin head, a cam element having a cam surface, a spring element biasing the pin head and the cam surface against each other, wherein the cam surface is shaped such that it defines a rest position at which the biasing spring force provided by the spring element with which the pin head and the cam surface are pushed against each other has a non-zero minimum value, and wherein a pivoting of the head around the pivot axis causes the pin head to move along the cam surface and the cam surface is further shaped such that the spring force pushing the pin head and the cam surface against each other increases with increasing pivoting angle.
HAIR REMOVAL APPARATUS
The present invention relates to hair removal. In order to provide a hair- removal apparatus with improved user acceptance, a hair-removal apparatus (10) is provided that comprises a hair-removal device (12) with a movable hair-removal component (14) which comprises at least a first hair-contacting member (36) and a second hair-contacting member (36) which are movable relative to each other and which are configured and arranged to mutually co-operate for removing hairs by mutually exerting a contact force, a pressing component (40) configured and arranged to generate said contact force by exerting a pressing force (20) on the movable hair-removal component during operation, a skin proximity sensing component (16), and a force adjusting component (18). The skin proximity sensing component (16) is configured and arranged to detect a relative distance (22) between the movable hair-removal component (14) and a portion of the skin (24) with hairs to be removed. The force adjusting component (18) is configured and arranged to adjust, during operation, the pressing force (20) exerted by the pressing component (40) in dependence on the relative distance (22) detected by the skin proximity sensing component (16). The movable hair-removal component (14) has a functional mode wherein the contact force has a first value and a non-functional mode wherein the contact force has a second value smaller than the first value. The force adjusting component (18) is configured and arranged to adjust the pressing force (20) exerted by the pressing component (40) such that, when the relative distance (22) detected by the skin proximity sensing component (16) is a first relative distance (26), the movable hair-removal component (14) operates in the non-functional mode and, when the relative distance (22) detected by the skin proximity sensing component (16) is a second relative distance (28) smaller than the first relative distance (26), the movable hair-removal component (14) operates in the functional mode.
IMPROVING HAIR-CLAMPING PERFORMANCE OF A PAIR OF HAIR-CLAMPING ELEMENTS
A head unit of a depilation appliance comprises at least one pair (11) of hair-clamping elements (12, 13), wherein the hair-clamping elements (12, 13) have tweezer surfaces (14, 15) which are arranged to face each other, and which are movable towards and away from each other in their entirety so as to be movable into and out of contact to each other. In order to achieve improved hair-clamping performance of the at least one pair (11) of hair-clamping elements (12, 13), the tweezer surfaces (14, 15) are further configured to move into alignment with each other in the process of getting into contact to each other, wherein the entirety of the tweezer surface (14) of one (12) of the hair-clamping elements (12, 13) is tillable relative to a support (17) that is included in the respective hair-clamping element (12).

The present disclosure is concerned with an attachment for an epilator or an epilator having an axle arranged for driven movement around a center axle axis, an end plate arranged at a first end of the axle for rotation together with the axle, the end plate having at least a first functional surface, a first clamping element having a functional surface, the first functional surface of the end plate being arranged face-to-face with the functional surface of the first clamping element, and the first clamping element being arranged for repeatedly being moved towards and away from the end plate such that repeatedly a closed position is obtained in which the two functional surfaces abut on each other, wherein the end plate is an outer part of the epilator or the attachment for an epilator.
AN EPILATING DEVICE FOR EPILATING HAIR
The invention relates to an epilating device (10) for epilating hairs growing from skin, comprising a housing; an epilating system having a plurality of hair-clamping elements arranged adjacent to each other rotatably on a curved supporting shaft which extends in a plane of curvature; a drive system arranged (58) to rotate the hair-clamping elements; a skin-contacting member (16) arranged to contact the skin during use and to be pivotable relative to the housing about a first pivot axis; a compression member arranged adjacent to the epilating system to exert a compression force on the epilating system directed along a compression line, said compression member being pivotable relative to the housing about a second pivot axis to adjust a position of the compression line relative to the housing; and a linkage mechanism linking the skin-contacting member and the compression member such that a pivotal motion of the skin-contacting member about the first pivot axis over a first pivot angle results in a pivotal motion of the compression member about the second pivot axis over a second pivot angle equal to the first pivot angle; wherein the compression member is arranged in a fixed position relative to the curved supporting shaft; and the linkage mechanism links the skin-contacting member (16) and the supporting shaft such that the pivotal motion of the skin-contacting member (16) about the first pivot axis over the first pivot angle results in a pivotal motion of the supporting shaft about the second pivot axis over the second pivot angle.
HAIR REMOVAL APPARATUS
The present invention relates to hair removal, and in particular to a handheld hair removal apparatus. In order to reduce pain during hair removal, the handheld hair removal apparatus (10) comprises a hair removal arrangement (12), a support structure (14) and a skin stretching device (16) attached to the support structure and comprising at least two leading surface portions (18a, 18b) for skin contacting and stretching. The apparatus has a main movement direction (26) in which the apparatus is to be moved relative to skin during use. The hair removal arrangement comprises a skin contact portion (30) for contacting a user's skin during operation, wherein the skin contact portion extends at least along a primary axis (32) extending perpendicularly to the main movement direction (26). The at least two leading surface portions, seen in an imaginary plane comprising a base line (27) and extending parallel to the main movement direction (26), are arranged at opposite inclinations of at least 20° with respect to the base line (27), which extends perpendicularly to the main movement direction and parallel to the primary axis, and are each provided with a skin touching surface portion (34a, 34b) having a main direction of extension that is inclined a tan angle of at least 20° with the base line seen in said imaginary plane. During operation, the leading surface portions are brought into contact with the skin to act on the skin with a pushing force (42) having a first vector (38), parallel to the skin's surface, in a first direction (Y) parallel to the main movement direction, and a second vector (40), parallel to the skin's surface, in a second direction (X) perpendicular to the main movement direction. In an operational position, the skin stretching device is arranged in front of the skin contact portion with respect to the main movement direction. During operation, the skin stretching device provides a stretched skin portion between the at least two leading surface portions.
EPILATING DEVICE
An epilating device for extracting hairs out of a user's skin, including an epilating system having a plurality of hair-clamping elements arranged adjacent to each other and rotatable relative to a housing about an axis of rotation, a compression member arranged to exert a compression force on the epilating system along at least a compression line which extends parallel to a main direction of extension of the axis of rotation, and a drive system arranged to rotate the hair-clamping elements about the axis of rotation. The hair-clamping elements are arranged to cooperate in pairs. During rotation of the epilating system, the paired hair-clamping elements are tiltable relative to each other, under influence of said compression force about at least one tilting axis from a hair-catching position and about only one tilting axis from a first hair-clamping position.

Clamping heads are disclosed with epilators and clamping hairs, and can include a first clamping unit and at least two spring plates arranged adjacent to each other on a plane traversing an axis of rotation of a stopper plate, each of said spring plate having a first spring plate clamping surface, and said stopper plate is adjacent to said first clamping unit and having a stopper plate clamping surface opposing said first spring plate clamping surface of each said spring plate, such that during rotation of said stopper plate relative to said first clamping unit, said first clamping unit reciprocally moves away from and towards said stopper plate such that a first space between said first spring plate clamping surface and said stopper plate clamping surface opens and closes for clamping hair.
