RETRACTOR WITH ALLIGATOR CLAMP SYSTEM
A retractor system is disclosed comprising a retractor and a clamp to mount the retractor in the desired location for use. In some embodiments, the retractor can be mounted to the clothing of the user, and different clamps can be used such as alligator clamps. The system according to the present invention allows for robust and reliable mounting of the retractor while allowing for some movement of the retractor housing during use to reduce wear on the line extending from the retractor housing. One retractor and clamping system according to the present invention comprising a retractor having a front and back surface, and at least one edge surface. A clamp is included that is arranged for attaching directly to a user's piece of clothing, wherein the clamp is integral to the retractor at one of the surfaces of the retractor and wherein the clamp extends beyond at least one edge surfaces with the clamp opening away from the retractor. A line is included that is capable of being extended and retracted from and back into the retractor, with a connector included on the line for connecting to a personal article.

Methods, apparatuses, systems, computing devices, and/or the like are provided. An example method may include rotating a rotatable mounting apparatus. An example rotatable mounting apparatus may include a first mount engagement element, a second mount engagement element, and a spring disposed between the first mount engagement element and the second mount engagement element. An example first mount engagement element may include a plurality of slots. An example second mount engagement element may include one or more tabs. The example method may include translating the first mount engagement element with respect to the second mount engagement element to compress the spring and disconnect at least a first tab of the one or more tabs from at least a first slot of the plurality of slots. The example method may also include rotating the first mount engagement element with respect to the second mount engagement element.

Wearable utility carrying strap
An inventive wearable utility carrying strap is provided for improved user access and experience with devices mounted thereon. The wearable utility carrying strap enables a user to configure an arrangement of devices that maintains the user's desired set of device orientations even during user movement. Embodiments of the strap have one or more spring loaded stud securements that hold a device in a user specified position. Embodiments of the strap used in the inventive utility carrying strap may be formed from natural or synthetic materials including but not limited to cotton, leather, suede, polypropylene, nylon, rubber, neoprene, plastic, etc. The strap may be fitted to a user limb by adjusting the strap slack with a buckle.
Backpack for organizing and powering personal electronics
This invention provides a backpack with a compartment containing a plurality of pockets for carrying personal electronic devices, including a specific pocket for storing a rechargeable battery pack within a range of sizes, shapes and cable socket number/placement on the pack's housing. The battery pocket defines crossing bands of elastic that accommodates/secures various battery form factors. Power cable access to sockets on the pack is eased by the flexibility of the straps and their interstices. The main compartment includes pockets for other electronic items, such as a tablet computer, smartphone and/or music player. Pockets are constructed from a mesh that includes an elastomer coating for frictional retention of items. A cable pocket, including pass through openings is also provided to route and store gathered/wound sections of power cables from the battery pack located therebelow. Cables extend from the cable pocket to various electronic devices in adjacent pockets, or externally.

An apparatus that facilitates one-handed use of a mobile device has a finger brace configured to brace a user's finger on each of two opposed sides of the point where it is coupled to a flexible member. The flexible member extends through a hole in the back portion of the mobile device's case and is anchored to an interior surface of the back portion of the case. The flexible member's length is such that two fingers of the user's hand can press against the finger brace to brace the mobile device when the two fingers are between the finger brace and the case.
