SOFTWARE-IMPLEMENTED PROCESS FOR PREVENTING REUSE OF A REPLACEABLE CLEANSING ATTACHMENT
20220331614 · 2022-10-20 ·

A software-implemented process for preventing reuse of a replaceable cleansing attachment includes detecting, via a chip in the replaceable cleansing attachment, that the replaceable cleansing attachment is attached to a base. The method also includes during a first use, receiving, at an acoustic transducer, high-frequency current from the base, wherein the acoustic transducer converts the high-frequency current into sound waves to assist in an abrasive removal of wound coatings. And the method includes recording, to the chip, an indication of the first use of the replaceable cleansing attachment, wherein the chip is configured to prevent a second use of the replaceable cleansing attachment when the chip has the indication of first use of the replaceable cleansing attachment stored thereon.

Device for the ultrasound treatment of open wounds

An ultrasound-assisted wound cleanser in the form of a handheld device includes an integrated vibration motor, an integrated ultrasound generator, an integrated energy source for the vibration motor and the ultrasound generator, and a replaceable cleansing attachment which can be driven by the vibration motor for abrasively removing wound coatings. The cleansing attachment has an acoustic transducer which is designed to convert the electric oscillations generated by the ultrasound generator into sound waves, a device for reinforcing and/or distributing and/or transferring the ultrasound waves, and bristles and/or lamellas for the abrasive removal. Further, a method for cleansing wounds includes moving a cleansing attachment with bristles for abrasively removing wound coatings by a vibration motor. The cleansing attachment is oscillated by an ultrasound generator, and the oscillations for supporting the removal of wound coatings are transmitted into the wound via a transmission medium.

CLEANING UNIT FOR AN ORAL CLEANING AND/OR TREATMENT DEVICE

An oral cleaning unit, e.g. a head for an oral cleaning and/or treatment device, includes electrodes for generating an RF field for providing an oral cleaning and/or treatment function. The unit includes at least a first and second protruding structure, which protrude in a same general direction away from a base or support structure. Each comprises one or more electrodes. The protruding structures are arranged facing one another and separated by a space or gap which is configured so as to be able to receive a tooth pushed or inserted therein between the first and second protruding structures, and with the protruding structures extending on either side of the tooth, i.e. straddling the tooth. This allows the RF electrodes comprised by the protruding structures to reach to a location at least part way down side faces of the tooth, closer to interproximal spaces, enabling interproximal spaces to be better cleaned, and optionally also to be sensed using RF energy/fields interacting with dental features, when the electrodes are suitably driven by an RF signal.

ORAL CARE DEVICE AND METHOD

An oral care device has a field generator adapted to generate an electric field in a mouth of a user, responsive to an input control signal. The electric field is for imparting a force upon particles forming a biofilm to be removed by the oral care device or upon cleaning agent particles. A cyclic control signal is generated for intermittent generation of an electric field at a first RF frequency. The use of an intermittent generation of an RF electric field means the force applied to particles (in particular polarized particles) by the field is itself cyclic. The cyclic nature of this applied force is found to be more effective in the disintegration of a biofilm to be removed, and hence makes subsequent mechanical removal, e.g. by brushing, easier.

ORAL CARE DEVICE AND METHOD

An oral care device (8) for use in aiding delivery of a substance for an oral treatment purpose within the mouth. The device comprises a field generator (16) which is adapted to generate a field (20) for exerting a force on particles (20) susceptible to the field to guide movement of the particles to a desired location. When operated in the mouth, this allows oral treatment particles to be quickly, safely and efficiently distributed within the mouth to the correct locations for performing the oral treatment function.

Ultrasound Applicator

An ultrasound applicator having spatially extended functionality to treat various oral and dental diseases. The applicator incorporates a multi directional ultrasound transducer system, which spatially irradiates the oral cavity with ultrasonic pressure waves, operational to simultaneously treat and destroy disease causing bacteria and bacterial chains on the gums and the inside surfaces of cheeks and lips, providing relief from Gingivitis, Recurring Aphthous Stomatitis, Lichen Planus, and Mucositis. A motorized version featuring sonic frequency orbital vibration of the applicator is described.

Hair information collection device, hair information collection system, and method for providing hair condition information

A hair information collection device for providing information relating to hair of a user includes a device body having at least first and second regions configured such that the hair of the user is movable between the first and second regions while in contact with the first and second regions, at least one microphone arranged in or on the device body for detecting a noise during movement of the hair between the first and second regions, a speed sensor circuit arranged in or on the device body and comprising at least one sensor for determining a value representing the speed of the device body, and an electronic circuit device arranged in or on the device body, wherein the electronic circuit device is configured to provide the user with information regarding the hair based on the received detected noise and the speed of the device body.
