Assisted dental cleaning device which allows brushing of both sides of the teeth and both arches simultaneously, in an assisted manner for all those unable to do it for themselves, not only due to age, but also due to disability or lack of motor skills, so that brushing is done by another person ensuring proper brushing all of the teeth of the person who is unable to do it for themselves. The device also allows for self-brushing where a reduction of cleaning time and an easier and more convenient brushing process of the two dental arches is sought. This is a device with specific application for the brushing of teeth for children, elderly or handicapped with disabilities or lack of upper extremities. It is also very useful for cleaning animals and pets' teeth.

The present invention is directed to a dental hygiene appliance, a pad usable in such an appliance, and a method of using such an appliance. The advantage of having a brim is that it offers a larger area for dental hygiene appliance to interact with the tooth surface, and the brim allows the brim to get into crevices of teeth that are too small for pileus to enter. An oral device for a baby is disclosed herein. The oral device includes a head portion, the head portion including one of: (i) a plurality of bristles for brushing gums and/or teeth of a baby, or (ii) a plurality of protrusions for stimulating gums and/or emerging teeth of the baby; a stop portion connected to the head portion, the stop portion sized to prevent over-insertion of the oral device into the mouth of the baby; and a handle portion connected to the stop portion, the handle portion configured to be grasped by the baby or another person for holding and/or manipulating the oral device.

A toothbrush comprising a brush head having a plurality of nano-bristles. In one embodiment, the plurality of nano-bristles each have a length, and a diameter of at least a portion of the length is in a range of 50 microns to 150 microns. Disclosed is a toothbrush for cleaning teeth of a pet animal. The toothbrush of the present invention is an appropriate device for cleaning a dog's teeth by providing adequate lighting via the same toothbrush during the cleaning process. The lighting provides a halo-illumination lighting effect such that a 360-degree light encircles the tooth during cleaning. The use of halo-illumination allows a user to see top, bottom, and both sides of the dog's mouth in a particular region, thus providing the user sufficient information as to whether they are effectively performing teeth cleaning of the dog.
