An interchangeable broom bristle with at least one releasable agent. The broom bristles may be part of a broom including a handle and a broom head. The bristles are adapted to include at least one agent, which when the broom is in use the at least one agent is released. The agent may be a perfume or the like which releases a scent via friction when adjacent bristles come into contact with each other. The agent may include an anti-bacterial composition and/or a cleaning agent. Additionally, the broom head may be adapted to be interchangeable. The bristles may take various forms and the bristle head may include at least one type or form of bristle and/or any combination of at least two types or forms of bristle.

A pet grooming tool for grooming a furry pet. The pet grooming tool includes a handle portion and at least one pet engageable portion. The handle portion has a head portion, and each pet engageable portion is secured to the head portion. The pet engageable portion comprises a plurality of teeth arranged in a row and a plurality of edge segments with a gap between each adjacent pair of teeth.

The brush tip incorporates a discharge port that communicates with the cosmetic storage of the cosmetic applicator, and a coating of an antimicrobial agent is formed on the surface of the brush tip filaments, located behind the discharge port inside the brush tip.

In one aspect, the invention can be an oral care implement having a handle; a head coupled to the handle; at least one bristle tuft extending from the head, the at least one bristle tuft comprising at least one multi-component bristle comprising first and second components. The first component may include a first plastic and a first oral care additive and the second component may include a second plastic and a second oral care additive such that the first oral care additive is different than the second oral care additive.

A head for an oral care implement has a mounting surface and at least one tuft mounted thereon. The tuft has a longitudinal axis and a cross-sectional area extending in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The tuft comprises a plurality of substantially cylindrical filaments. Each filament has a longitudinal axis and a cross-sectional area extending in a plane that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The cross-sectional area of an individual filament has a substantially non-circular shape. Disclosed is a toothbrush with oligodynamic properties. This is achieved with a small current produced as a result of the dissimilar materials from which it is constructed. A small piece of zinc metal. attached to the device at a specified location acts as a sacrificial anode in order for any corrosion which will naturally occur, to occur at the replaceable anode, and nowhere else on the toothbrush. The bristles of the tooth brush are much longer than those of a conventional toothbrush in order to spend a longer period of time in contact with the teeth and gums thereby causing the desired effect to be more pronounced.

The disclosure provides dental hygiene devices including a plurality of bristles in the form of polymer fibers, the polymer fibers having a plurality of microcapsules positioned within at least a portion of the polymer fibers, and the plurality of microcapsules comprising an oral care additive surrounded by a shell configured as one or a plurality of layers. In some aspects, the present disclosure provides processes and methods for forming toothbrush bristles including an oral care additive contained therein.
