CLEANING BRISTLE BRUSHES AND CLEANING SYSTEMS AND METHODS USING SAME
Washing devices, systems and methods comprise a brushing apparatus including vertical, elongated stanchions supporting a flexible, wave-like brush carrier. An array of brushes is mounted to the front of the brush carrier. In particular embodiments the brushes include hubs which are received within apertures formed by the brush carrier. The systems may include a single, relatively-wide stanchion, or multiple stanchions. The stanchions are articulated in an up-and-down, optionally orbital, movement. Spray nozzles and lights may be included in the stanchions and/or brush carrier.
Applicator for applying a cosmetic, makeup or care, product to the eyelashes and/or eyebrows
The present invention relates to an applicator for applying a cosmetic, makeup or care, product to the eyelashes and/or eyebrows, having a moulded applicator member (8) having:—a core (10) that extends along a longitudinal axis (X),—spikes (15, 16) that are carried by the core (10) and are disposed all around the core (10) in a plurality of longitudinal rows (17, 19), wherein, in said applicator, at least one longitudinal row (17) has an alternation of curved spikes (16) that each extend along a curvilinear elongation axis (E.sub.c) and straight spikes (15) that each extend along a rectilinear elongation axis (E.sub.r).
TARGETED DRUG DELIVERY DEVICES AND METHODS
A targeted drug delivery device comprises a brush for use in delivery of one or more therapeutic agents during surgical procedures, including but not limited to, heart, chest, abdominal, brain, limb, vascular, eye, organ transplantation surgery or cancer surgical treatment. The therapeutic agent is selected from the group consisting of genetically engineered vectors or cells, proteins, stem cells, small molecule pharmaceuticals, drugs or biologics. Methods of treating diseases comprising delivering at least one therapeutic agent to a patient's organs or tissues using any one of the targeted drug delivery devices are disclosed.
HAIR DYEING ACCESSORY AND HAIR DYEING GLOVE
A hair dyeing accessory for applying a hair coloring agent, such as a coloring agent or a gray hair dyeing agent for beauty and barber use, even to the roots of hair efficiently while making the amount of adhesion to the scalp small, and a hair dyeing glove using the same, are provided. A hair dyeing accessory disposed on a surface of a glove, the hair dyeing accessory including: a cloth that includes a reservoir space for retaining a dyeing agent; and a projection fixed to the cloth or the glove, wherein the cloth does not disturb contact of the projection with a scalp. A hair dyeing glove includes: a glove; and the hair dyeing accessory fixed to and disposed on the surface of the glove.
CLEANING BRISTLE BRUSHES AND CLEANING SYSTEMS USING SAME
A brush useful for washing external surfaces, such as of a vehicle. The brush comprises a plurality of bristles connected to a hub. Each bristle has an elongated shaft having a number of cleaning structures extending outwardly from the shaft, providing multiple faces and edges arranged in a circumferential manner around the shaft, and producing multiple washing actions by the bristles as they are moved adjacent the surface. The hub and bristles may be integrally molded in a first condition having a planar form, and then folded relative to the hub to position the bristles extending from the hub in a cleaning direction from the hub. The hubs are secured to mounting structures by reception of the hubs in apertures in the mounting structures. In an embodiment, the mounting surfaces comprise flexible stanchions which are moved relative to an external surface to provide high resolution washing of a vehicle surface.
Oral Hygiene Appliance
The present invention is directed to a dental hygiene appliance, a pad usable in such an appliance, and a method of using such an appliance. The dental hygiene appliance comprises a plurality of mushroom-shaped bristles, wherein the mushroom-shaped bristles comprise a material with Shore 00 hardness between about 50 and about 100. The mushroom-shaped bristles comprise a stipe, a pileus, and optionally a brim. The dental hygiene appliance may be a monolithic body, or comprises a monofacial pad, or bifacial pad, that is held by a dental hygiene appliance frame. The advantage of having a brim is that it offers a larger area for dental hygiene appliance to interact with the tooth surface, and the brim allows the brim to get into crevices of teeth that are too small for pileus to enter. The interstitial space between the mushroom-shaped bristles may also comprise a dentifrice composition.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FORMING BRISTLE BUNDLES, BRUSH MANUFACTURING MACHINE, USE OF AN APPARATUS FOR FORMING BRISTLE BUNDLES, BRUSH, COMPUTER PROGRAM AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
An apparatus (1) for forming bristle bundles (2) is inter alia proposed as an improvement in the technical field of manufacturing and designing brushes. The apparatus (1) includes at least one bundle pocket (3) which is specified for receiving bristle bundles (2) to be formed. The bundle pocket (3) has a common bundle receptacle portion (50) for unifying at least two bristle bundles (2). The bundle pocket (3) and the bristle bundles (2) situated therein are heated by the heating apparatus (4) of the apparatus (1) so as to set the shaping of the bristle bundles (2) that is predefined by the bundle pocket (3) and the displacement means (7).
Oral care implement
An oral care implement having a body that includes a head portion and a handle portion. At least one bristle is mounted to the head portion. The at least one bristle may include an oral care feature. The body may include a core component and a sheath component. The core component may include a structural feature that corresponds to or is representative of the oral care feature of the at least one bristle. The core component may be visible through the sheath component.
WOUND CLEANSING DEVICE
The invention relates to a wound cleansing device comprising a number of strand-shaped cleansing elements, characterized in that the cleansing quotient R=(E*F)/l of at least some cleansing elements is 0.05 N/mm or larger, particularly 0.1 N/mm or larger, preferably 1 N/mm or larger, particularly preferably 10 N/mm or larger and smaller than 1000 N/mm, preferably less than 500 N/mm, in particular 100 N/mm or smaller, wherein E denotes the modulus of elasticity of the material of which the cleansing elements are made, F denotes the average cross-sectional area of the cleansing elements in a direction perpendicular to the strand axis, and l denotes the effective length of the cleansing elements.
ORAL CARE IMPLEMENT
An oral care implement and/or a cleaning element for an oral care implement. The cleaning element may include an annular cleaning component having an inner surface defining a cavity. The annular cleaning component may be formed from a plurality of arcuate portions with each of the arcuate portions extending from a first end to a second end and terminating in a distal end. A height of each of the arcuate portions may be greater at the second end than at the first end. The plurality of arcuate portions may be arranged in a ring so that the first end of each of the arcuate portions is adjacent to the second end of another one of the arcuate portions.
