Strip brush assembly having metal and polymer bristles and method of making
A strip brush assembly with a plurality of elongated polymer bristles forming a section and a plurality of elongated metal bristles forming another section adjacent the polymer bristles section, such that the metal bristles section is supported by the polymer bristles section. The polymer and metal bristles are bonded and encapsulated in a base formed by direct extrusion onto and around the polymer and metal bristles to secure them to the formed base. The strip brush assembly may be used on a tubular mandrel of a street sweeper.

Brush head arrangements
A brush head (100) and a method of making a tuft spike (20) and a brush head with a plurality of tuft spikes. The brush head includes a matrix (30) having a plurality of receptacles (32) formed therein. A plurality of tuft spikes are each formed of a plurality of bristle strands (22) arranged in a tuft (21) having a free end (25) and a proximal end (23) inserted in a spike body (24). Each tuft spike is disposed in one of the receptacles of the matrix. A brush head neck (40) has a distal platen (42) that is connected to and at least partially encompassed in the matrix.

END CUT OF ENDODONTIC BRUSH
In some embodiments, the distal end of an endodontic brush unevenly (e.g., not along a line perpendicular to the axis of the brush). Optionally, the uneven strands will contact the walls of a channel more evenly and/or will have an increased stirring effect than an evenly cut end may be cut using an abrasive cutter (e.g., a grinding wheel) and/or a laser and/or an electrical discharge machining (EDM) cutter. Optionally, a grinding wheel will rotate opposite the winding of the wire. Optionally, a round end may be formed on the wire. In some embodiment, a coupling between an endodontic brush and a handpiece in configured to be held totationally top the handpiece by friction and/or locked longitudinally into the handpiece by an interference element. In some embodiments, an edge of the brush is roughened. Optionally, the brush may be bent and/or eccentric.

Method for molding shape of bristles of mascara brush for eyelashes, mold used in the method, and mascara brush molded by the method
The present invention relates to a method for molding a shape of bristles of a mascara brush for eyelashes, a mold in used in the method. Two strands of iron cores are twisted and brush bristles respectively having dorsal portions are radially spread between the twisted iron cores through post-process so as to form a mascara brush, wherein the dorsal portions are formed by the brush bristles of the same length on the basis of the iron cores without difference in the length of the brush bristles, so that a mascara solution contained in the dorsal portion does not run down when being applied to eyelashes, and the mascara provides more volume and a beautiful eyelash make-up when a sufficient amount of the mascara solution is applied.
TOOTHBRUSH AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING TOOTHBRUSH
Provided are a toothbrush in which a tapered surface is formed on a tip part of synthetic resin fibers forming a brush and a fiber surface including the fiber tip part is coated with minerals and the toothbrush is provided with a bristle tip (fiber) having appropriate bending strength, and a manufacturing method of the toothbrush. The toothbrush 1 includes a brush in which a mineral component layer is formed on a surface of a synthetic resin fiber 4. The synthetic resin fiber 4a having a tapered surface 4a1 which is formed in a range of 1 mm to 8 mm from a tip occupies 90% or more of the synthetic resin fibers 4 (4a, 4b), and bending strength of the brush at a position of 1 mm from a leading edge of the brush 3 (the synthetic resin fibers 4 (4a, 4b)) is 0.60 N/cm.sup.2 to 2.00 N/cm.sup.2.
Device for producing round brushes
A method and apparatus for producing round brushes having bristles clamped between two wire portions of a folded wire, comprising a feed station and a subsequent finishing station, wherein in the feed station a wire is bent between two counter holders, and the feed station comprises a bristle feed device and a rotatable gripper adapted to grip the bent wire and twist it during the feed of bristles to anchor the bristles in the wire. In the finishing station, the twisted wire is held by a stationary gripper and further twisted by the rotatable gripper. The bristles are then cut on their outer side.
