The platform includes at least one support tray and side and end platform supports. The pully system includes at least one pully, a lowering and raising mechanism and at least one rope or cable, where the rope or cable is attached to at least one pully support. The lowering and lifting means turns the lowering and raising mechanism such that the rope or cable moves over pullies in the pully system to raise and lower the platform of the storage apparatus.

Improved methods and systems for operating moveable architectural elements (e.g., furniture) are described. The method includes performing a first part of a movement of the moveable architectural element along a portion of a length of actuation using a motor. The method includes performing a second part of the movement of the moveable architectural element with a desired movement profile and, based thereon, measuring an operation parameter. The method includes comparing the measured operation parameter to a profile of the operation parameter. The method includes incrementing a first counter if a first differential between the measured operation parameter and the profile of the operation parameter exceeds a differential threshold, incrementing a first counter. The method includes adjusting the second part of the movement of the moveable architectural element if the first counter exceeds a counter threshold. An improved system and method of automatic folding and storage of furniture is disclosed. In one embodiment, an improved combination foldable table and seats system provides a mechanism for automatically raising the combination foldable table and seats system to a ceiling before automatically folding the legs of the table to which foldable seats are attached. In this manner, the combination foldable table and seats system can be folded, stored and again lowered to the ground without the need for a user to lift or move furniture and without the need for extra storage space.
