The hardware fixture includes an internally threaded insert, a mounting element housing the insert and having internal and top peripheral mechanical attachment assemblies, and a face element having mechanically attachment assemblies rotatably corresponding to and attaching to the mounting element mechanical assemblies and a planar top. The face element planar top can receive and secure several varied and customizable, interchangeable parts. The face element is mechanically affixed to the mounting element to resist being dislodged inadvertently, while being easily removed when so intended, in particular by the easily operable lock-and-dock assembly mounting without the need to disconnect the threaded insert and mounting element housing from the drawer or cabinet door. An embodiment provides a refillable domed capsule as part of removable face element.

Removable, decorative knob covers configured to connect to an existing knob are described. In one embodiment, the decorative knob covers have an elastomeric shaft that is friction fit over an existing, fixed knob. In another embodiment, the decorative knob covers attach to an existing, fixed knob by a clasp.

A pull assembly includes a base and a decorative insert which is rotatably mated to the base to allow for easy assembly and customization. The pully assembly can be formed by a process that includes the steps of: (a) forming a base by a first process; (b) receiving an image of a custom decorative insert that is intended to mate with the base to form the pull assembly; and (c) forming the custom decorative insert based on the received image and using an additive manufacturing process.

A kit for mounting a fixture at a surface comprises first and second brackets for attaching to the fixture and for fixedly locating at the surface. The second bracket defines a cavity for receiving the first bracket in a mounting position of the kit, and the two brackets are connectable by a fastener passed through the pair of brackets arranged in the mounting position. The first bracket features a passageway opening at opposite sides of the bracket, and the second bracket features a fastener aperture and opposite thereto a tip receptacle for receiving a leading tip of the fastener, such that the second bracket is engaged by the fastener at more than one location to maintain the kit in the mounting position. The first and second brackets also feature a cooperating groove and ridge in the interior of the cavity, which are mated in the mounting position.

A hardware assembly is provided with a threaded handle for a drawer or door. A threaded rod is provided for threaded engagement with the threaded handle, with a length to extend through the drawer or door. A threaded fastener is sized for threaded engagement with the threaded rod to engage the drawer or door spaced apart from the handle to fasten the handle to the drawer or door. At least one weakened region is formed in the threaded rod to permit separation of an unused portion of the rod from an installed portion of the rod.
