A lock bar-on-slide rail style drawer antitipping safety device includes a cabinet body, a top drawer, at least one middle drawer, and at least one bottom drawer. The drawers are each provided with a sliding portion projecting from one side thereof. The cabinet body includes a vertical slide rail slidably mounted at one side that corresponds to the sliding portions. The vertical slide rail includes, in sequence from top to bottom, a first lock bar, a second lock bar, and a third lock bar slidably mounted thereto. Each of the first lock bar and the second lock bar is provided with a stop portion projecting from each of a top end and a bottom end thereof toward the corresponding sliding portion. The stop portions are provided to selectively block the sliding portions so as to prevent the drawers from accidentally sliding out or being opened simultaneously.

When the stabilizer is attached to the piece of furniture at a location above the location at which the stabilizer is attached to the vertical support surface and the stabilizer is in a vertical orientation, the stabilizer provides resistance to tipping of the piece of furniture away from the vertical support surface.

In another example, a method includes securing a wall anchor plate to a wall using mounting wires; attaching a furniture mounting bracket to a piece of furniture; positioning the piece of furniture adjacent to the wall anchor plate; and tensioning a securing device attached between the wall anchor plate and the furniture mounting bracket thereby preventing the furniture from tipping over.

A weight system comprising a weight material assembly having predetermined dimensions and a container assembly. The weight material assembly comprises weight material comprising at least one of sand and gravel and a weight material bag adapted to contain the weight material. The weight material bag comprises at least a ply of paper material. The container assembly comprises a panel assembly defining an interior chamber, an access opening, and an access flap and a closure system operable in an open configuration and a closed configuration. The interior chamber is sized and dimensioned to accommodate the predetermined dimensions of the weight material assembly. The weight material assembly may be displaced through the access opening and into the interior chamber. With the weight material assembly arranged within the interior chamber, the panel assembly is configured in the closed position and the closure system is operated in the closed configuration.

Support hinge for a piece of furniture includes a mounting plate attachable to an underside of a bottom drawer of the piece of furniture, and a support plate hingedly connected to the mounting plate to enable the support plate to open rearward to an angle of greater than 90 degrees relative to the mounting plate. The support plate is biased into the open state and includes a drawer support portion that preferably contacts the underside of the bottom drawer when the support plate is in the open state. When the bottom drawer is open, the support plate is just above the floor below the piece of furniture and when a weight-derived force is exerted against the bottom drawer, the support plate is moved against the floor and in such a position, acts as a post to prevent forward tipping of the furniture beyond a nominal amount.

The abutting part abuts against a ceiling. The abutting part is disposed so as to extend in one direction while gradually departing from the ceiling. The connecting part has two ends one of which is connected to an end of the abutting part away from the ceiling and the other of which is disposed on a top surface of a piece of furniture. The abutting part is elastically deformed with tilt of the furniture, so that an area of a part of the abutting part abutting against the ceiling is increased.
